Ted 2 is superb with the best cameo (Lian Neeson) ever

Hilarious. There is a light plot, and it is "serious" enough to carry the story and keep you watching to the end. It is not simply a farce of gags, which it could easily have turned into. There has been serious effort to make this film work. I think it will appeal very strongly to men because there is puerile humour, but done very well. Mark Walhberg who plays John, the man with the live Ted[dy] bear, is fantastic, and Mila Kuni does very well to play the "straight" role as John's girlfriend. The star is Ted, of course, but it only works because the actors (mainly Mark Wahlberg) play to the bear so strongly. The animation of Ted makes it realistic, whose character is like a human best buddy to John.The humour will make you laugh out loud. If you like the humour, a second viewing is worthwhile - you will have either forgotten or perhaps missed one or two gags the first time through, probably because you were still laughing from the previous joke or situation.Buy it and enjoy.

I was roped into watching The Family Guy, since my husband is a big fan, and although I do find it funny, it is hard to watch at times. I expected this movie to be the same. I bought Ted for my husband for Christmas and as we watched it, I had many tearful moments where we actually had to pause the Blu-ray because we couldn't stop laughing and were missing the movie. Mark Wahlberg is hilarious as John, a man who got his wish for a friend (teddy bear) who would be with him forever. Mila Kunis plays Lori, his girlfriend, and I have to say, I was expecting the stereotypical girlfriend-who-disapproves role. Instead, Lori is a refreshing character, with the grudging acceptance of Ted in her life but with a softer, funnier side, who is more accepting of John and his underachiever lifestyle than most would be. The movie has twists and a great role for Giovanni Ribisi (whom I love) as a creepy,obsessed father who wants Ted for his son. Whether you are a Seth MacFarlane fan or not, this movie is hysterical.

I love this movie. I have seen it on tv three times and just had to own it. Seth MacFarlane is a nut. He has a great sense of humor and his characters are the best. A little on the raunchy side. Not recommended for kids. But for anyone else, I believe it is a must see. Mark Walhberg and Mila Kunis are great in this. I hope he makes a Ted II.
