Excellent product! great service. I can actually smell the pepper from the ground corns and the fresh distinct smell of sea salt! The unit is sturdy, locks in tight when refilling and has a fine/coarse grind, depending if your using it for cooking or applying to a salad. The light at the base really adds to the enjoyment of using this salt and pepper set. This is a great present for any friends, family or personal purchase.

Our previous electric grinder stopped working so we looked for another. A lot of the reviews on cheaper products were very negative so we went for this. Overall very pleased - Quality design, good grinding action, built in lights that illuminate your food when you are grinding are good and easy to fill. Two things that I think are shortcomings: - The plastic covers that go on the bottom of each grinder tend to fall off but they are useful. - The plastic stand to keep the grinders in is a lot of nothing - I doubt we'll use it but some people might like. But these are minor issues. I'd recommend this product to others.

I bought this rechargeable salt and pepper set after reading great reviews and am really impressed. The packaging looks premium and would certainly make a great gift. Both grinders feel solid and the adjustable grind works perfectly. The light one handed operation when cooking is great and I found the units hold their charge well. A stylish high quality set that looks great on the kitchen counter. Highly recommend

We love these for their appearance and adjustable coarse to fine delivery of product. The only downside would be frequency of filling if a large family. Batteries last for months but remember batteries are not provided as part of the deal. Delivered on time. We have used these daily for 3 years now so well tested and no sign of them giving up . A metal case and easy to refill. Highly recommended.

I bought this set on 30 March 2024 and was very pleased with the overall feel and ease of use. On Saturday 15 June 2024 one of the units failed (hence my slight downgrade for sturdyness). This is where my comment about customer service kicks in. I emailed Latent Epicure (via their website) that Saturday evening and James Simpson (the owner of the small business) replied Sunday morning, confirmed that they would issue a replacement, and asked for a delivery address which I let him have later that day. He replied on Tuesday morning to say the replacement had shipped - it arrived the following day (Wednesday). They actually shipped a complete 2-grinder set even though only one of my originals had failed. Anyone who has run a business knows that nothing is perfect all the time and 'stuff happens'. The important thing is how you then deal with the issue and keep the customer informed about what is happening. James/Latent Epicure's performance was exemplary.

This condiment set is a class act ! So perfect, from the packaging to delivery date to actual contents. They look and feel so much more expensive in their weightiness and aesthetics, are identical (so interchangeable) for salt or peppercorns, easy to lock and load and the grind-size wheel on the base works a treat. 8" tall, 2" diameter, needing x8 AA batteries (ie. x4 in each mill). The spacious clear acrylic tray they sit in also feels reassuringly weighty. The mills arrive with a slip-on black plastic cap on each base (handy for picnics) but need removing to see them working, complete with a handy little light . Happy to say I'm using much less salt now too, as it's so easy to control using the large easy-press button on top. They'd make a great gift and I only wish I'd bought mine yonks ago ! Turns out it's a small company with a great product and a sense of humour who deserve to go far. Buy these ! You won't be sorry !

Got these as they had a good star rating however I wouldn’t rate them at all! Very hard to get any pepper out unless you like your pepper very very coarse/almost whole. Tried sea salt in the other one and absolutely nothing! Can’t get it to grind salt at all. Big waste of money. Why is it so hard to get a grinder that actually works!

Muy funcional. Se lo regale a mi madre, una persona mayor, que ya no puede usar bien el molinillo de la pimienta. Esto es perfecto si te duelen las manos, las muñecas... Por otro lado son bien bonitos, puedes llevarlos a la mesa perfectamente. ¡¡¡Me he comprado otro para mi!!!

Das sind die ersten elektrischen Mühlen, die ich gekauft habe. Die Lieferung erfolgte gewohnt schnell. Die beiden Mühlen sehen optisch sehr gut aus und haben für meinen Geschmack (und die Hände meiner Frau) auch die richtige Größe. Die Haptik ist sehr gut, das gebürstete Metall fügt sich gut in jede Umgebung ein. Beide Mühlen funktionieren sehr gut, sowohl Pfefferkörner als auch grobes Meersalz werden dank der im Boden befindlichen Einstellung des Mahlwerks in der gewünschten Körnigkeit gemahlen. Mit der Einstellung muss man etwas experimentieren, es sind zwar Markierungen vorhanden, aber diese sind leider nicht an den Einstellschrauben. Aber mit ein bisschen probieren findet man die gewünschte Stärke. Das einlegen der Batterien und das einfüllen des Mahlgutes gestaltet sich Dank der Markierungen recht einfach. Die Behälter für Salz und Pfeffer haben ebenfalls relativ große Einfüllöffnungen. Da die Behälter aus Kunststoff und damit auch bruchgefährdet sind, sollte man bei der Handhabung entsprechend vorsichtig sein. Ich bin mit dem Kauf recht zufrieden und würde diese Mühlen weiterempfehlen. Jetzt habe ich die Mühlen bereits seit einem Jahr in täglichem Gebrauch und bin immer noch begeistert. Einfach ein tolles Produkt.

Pros: only needs 4 AA batteries, and grinds quite well, as described. Delivery was quick and well packaged. Cons: initial putting of everything back together was a bit tricky, as parts are a very tight fit and locking mechanisms need a bit of effort, but will probably be easier with use. Overall: seems a well designed, quality product and good value for money. The complimentary stand is really good too, unobtrusive and keeps table tidy.
