My hair is soft shined and straight I did use leave in conditioner as we have very hard water

What is this sorcery?! My hair never looked this smooth FOR DAYS with any other straightener. Hair looked and felt like I’ve got a keratin treatment. Did my hair before bed and woke up exactly with same straight smooth hair. Even got caught under rain without umbrella or hood and got just a tiny amount of frizz when with others my hair would go Afro style even in tiny rain having umbrella… At first when I took it out of box it felt quite cheap.. only because I had Dyson coralle before and the build of it felt sturdier. But gosh I was wrong. Because hair after Dyson was only good for a day in a sunny weather… The only downside of Steampod is that hair gets caught a little bit when straightening. Especially using the little brushes. But for the results I can live with that. Overall great value for money. Absolutely love it and will recommend to everyone struggling with frizz. P.s. get yourself distilled water for it. Don’t use tap water as in UK we have hard water and the steam function won’t last long with it…

I heard about the Steampod as my hairdresser used it in my hair, I went out partying the next night and woke up in the morning with no frizz or kinks, my hair was still immaculate, so I decided to buy one for myself. The reasons for dropping one star is that the panels are not ideal for actual styling when straightening, it's quite hard to get to the roots as they are thick and wide. It's also quite heavy. My hair also gets greasier quicker. Other than what an absolute godsend, this winter has been a lot easier to manoeuvre without having to worry about my hair after 5 minutes! NOTE....make sure you use distilled/demineralised water with it, your product will last longer. It costs a fiver for a large bottle that will last ages.

This is my first, I have type 4 hair, after watching many many reviews. This has blown me away my hair is soft, they have listened and solved one complaint about the product which is, it doesn't get close enough to the root, no problem there! I only need one pass and I can do larger sections! Can't speak for how my hair is going to revert back after first wash but this has done a great job at getting my hair super straight and I initially started on 210 but moved to 200 which is amazing... I may even try 180 on my next go but highly recommend especially if you're looking for a healthier way to use heat... 95% less damage, my hair is shiny, smooth and I am very happy! Steampod 4 definitely worth it for the type 4 girls. Plus the comb has always been genius to add to the tool but now you have a few other options.

I would highly recommend these. I've always struggled with straighteners, always thought it was just my hair or my rubbish skill that meant it never got as straight when I did it at home as it does when the hairdressers did it. Turns out thats not the case at all. I have never had hair that is straighter, softer, and easier to do than since I got these. They're amazing. My hair is so soft, they straighten very quickly and it stays straight. Cant recommend enough. Much prefer these over regular ceramic straighteners. A++++++

I was so excited to get a new straightener and I thought it would be gentle to my hair because of the steam. Instead I experienced damaged hair and had to have a haircut. It wasn't the heat actually what ruined my hair but instead it ripped my hair out. They are not smooth anymore, they look like someone run through my hair with a razor. I thought first I didn't brush my hair enough but it happened to my daughter's hair too. We tried it few times and it didn't work for us. It is quite heavy to compare to other straighteners but looks very nice. Lesson learned the hard way. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I’m mixed race and have quite curly Afro hair. I was worrying about hair damage as I used to used GHD’s regularly to keep my hair straight. This was taking a toll on my hair which was becoming very dry and brittle. I decided to try L’Oréal’s steam straightener and I’m so glad I did. When using this my hair felt instantly smoother and healthier and lasted for longer despite humid conditions and didn’t revert. I believe that because the steam straightener leaves your hair with moisture even whilst providing a straight hair style. The proof was when washing my hair my curls bounced back without any trouble- showing less damage. Absolutely love this product and is very much worth the money. I’m so glad I purchased this item!

I love this Straigtner when it works. I’ve been using it for 5/6 yesrs now but on my 4th one. It works great at first but stops producing steam after couple of months. I only use the demineralized water as suggested so can’t figure out what the problem is. One would say why but it again but I’ve tried others and my hair only looks and feels good after straightening with this. L’Oréal really need to solve this issue.

A little heavy to handle I still need to see if it is really better for the hair than a regular straightener. I do not see as much shine as I expected 50/50
