The best acoustic strings I've played
So, I don't write reviews, but for these I was compelled to. What a fantastic set of highly musical strings. Bright, well defined with great sustain. Very smooth under the fingers and great elasticity for bends. The stretched and tuned up swiftly and stayed true for the whole first day. They sound clear and piano like on my 2009 Gibson J200, the perfect string for my finger style blues and strum along accompaniment.I love these strings

Amazing strings
Amazing strings, I use these on my Taylor 314, and they absolutely sing. Amazing clarity, projection and responsiveness. Really bring out the bass in guitar, and balance out the treble.I've tried Elixir HD, D' Addarios and Martins (Martin PB 13-54 were my go to before John Pearse), but none have come close to sounding as good. They're very bright to begin with but mellow quite quickly and stay in the 'played in mellow, but not dead' area for quite a while, which I love. They won't last as long as coated strings, but they're not as expensive and no doubt that they will sound 5x better IMO.Whether or not it's worth having to send £7-9 every other month or so (how long they tend to last me) for these, rather than buying £15 coated strings to last a few months longer, is up to you. But I would urge anyone to give these a go on their next string change, I did and I will doubt I'll use any other strings now. These have really made me love my instrument that little bit more.

Warning - these may transform your guitar (in a good way)
In a word - transformational - in both sound and playability. I'm another convert from Elixir Nanoweb Coated strings (that Taylor recommend for their 314ce). I have always used Elixirs and they are far from bad strings but these are in a different league. Taylor guitars do have a bright sound (part of their appeal) but the JPs seem to offset this a little as the bass punches through that little bit more.Quite how these will fare in the wearability stakes I'm not too sure, but so far they are holding both tone and tune well; so long as you take care to fit them properly. If you keep the guitar in a case (as I do) and do a little after-practice care in the form of a wipe down of the strings it will probably help extend the life a bit. These sound particularly good played finger style in my view, I could never express or project notes played on the bass strings as well with the Elixirs.Make the switch, you really won't be disappointed.

Used strings
All 6 strings have been used and put back in the packet. Too late to return them ( my fault tbf. I should have checked them sooner)

Impressive guitar strings
I've been a user of D'addario EJ16s for many years, however, I switched to John Pearse about a year ago and like them a lot. Particularly with my smaller, Collings 00 12 fret guitar, I find the additional warmth of tone most pleasing. I noticed (on the now seemingly defunct Collings Forum) that Pearse strings get a lot of support and it was this that led to my trying them out in the first place. They are now my favourite Phosphor Bronze strings and I use them all the time on the 00 guitar. But, I also like D'Addario Nickel Bronze strings, so I oscillate between the two, on my Collings OM1JL.

Beautiful sound. Stay in tune. Will buy again, and again!
After years of trying different strings; some I like, some I don't, I heard about these strings when researching froggy bottom guitars.I figured if they're willing to put them on all their beautiful guitars then my Cole Clark was indeed worthy of a try.Loved them straight off.Good, clear sound all through.Excellent sustainStayed in tune pretty much straight awayJust slight adjustments because I've hardly put her down since the strings went on.I'll buy these in future.Get yourself some! 😉

Good while they lasted.
The perfect sounding strings but.....this was the first time I’ve used these strings and they did sound amazing on my seagull s6,ideal for fingerpicking and strumming. They sound better than any other string I used before, inc daddario,Martin,Ernie ball earthwoods. However after less than a week of moderate playing(2 hours a day). They have become dull, and have lost their sound, these are quite expensive strings and for less than a weeks playing,it’s not really good enough.Shame as they are the nicest strings I have used.

Lovely warm sound
I've used a number of brands of strings. Generally polyweb or nanoweb for the added warmth these can bring, but they can dull overtime.I wanted to put these on an old 70's Japanese Yamaha, which with standard strings (martin!) sounded really bright! They needed turning down a shade and mellowing out without having to play for months. These did the trick, I was surprised with how mellow yet clear the bass notes were, best way I can describe them is sort of droney without any loss of clarity.Hope this helps.
