Trend Adjustable Lock Jig for 34mm-58mm Doors, Quick-Release Clamps

Really saves time when dealing with multiple doors with the same locks. Worth it for a professional. Everything fits great.

This is a solid bit of kit and it comes with literally every lock profile known to man, but there are some limitations. I found that the bush on my router was deeper than the jig, so on one side it was fouling the clamp and not giving me the full profile cut out. I didn't realise this unil I did a few locks and struggled to get the face plates to fit. If I'd have clocked it sooner I'd have ground a few mm from the bush, but it would be nice if I didn't have to. Its also quite tricky to line up the markings to the centre of the door, but it's just a bit of trial and error. Otherwise, this is another stellar product from Trend.

The metal plate that you use to fix the jig to the centerline of the door was bent by 3mm so tightening the three fixing was a waste of time as the plate would pivot around and pull the other end away from the centre line making it impossible to center the jig, what a pile of rubbish I now own and all the doors are sitting there waiting, utterly pissed off as Amazon won't take it back as its outside the 30 days, could not do the work before as was not well. Its going in a vice in the morning and I am taking a big hammer to it.
