Incase ICON Slim Backpack

These are fantastic bags, soft but with enough structure. I have just replaced one that was 15 years old. The protection for laptops/iPads is perfect - I have dropped this bag onto concrete and slung it around with zero damage to the contents. Sufficient dividers/pockets without being a mess. I have one for work and one for travel. Perfect bag.

Compact, smart for work and space for everything I need

The laptop pocket is lined with some seriously soft fur, keeping my MacBook snug. Whilst the main compartment is large, the shape of the bag doesn’t allow you to fill it and wear the bag comfortably, so I keep it light. The front compartment pockets are useful with good pockets and sections, but again are not large volume. The bag keeps its shape really well all of the time which I like a lot.

I'm not really a fan of backpacks for day to day use, but this one is very stylish and practical to use.

Looks and feels amazing, build quality looks good I’ve not tried it out yet, I’m hoping it last I carry a lot of stuff for work I’m hoping it lasts longer than my other bags. Will up date, it’s very expensive that’s why I dropped a star but if it last long then 2 other bags that cost £50 the I will be happy and it needs to carry plenty of folders and laptop pens iPad

This bag has enough space for my study materials but also for my 17-inch laptop which takes up a huge amount of space on top of everything else I have, this backpack holds everything perfectly, and it's pretty comfortable. I don't use the slim sleeve for my laptop that's located in the main space of the backpack, but in the slim back part of the backpack, it feels secure and the other compartments around the front and sides are pretty small but are enough for me.

I purchased my first Icon backpack about 5 years ago. I used and abused that pack! It carried all my school essentials through my college years, hiked with it, and traveled with it. It was my go-to pack and it went everywhere with me and carried everything I needed. At the end of the 5 years fraying was minimal, I lost one zipper on the main compartment (good thing they put two), patched up a few holes (including one attaching the a zipper to the main body), most of the shoulder padding lost its spring, and some discoloring was present in the stitchings. However, even with all the damage it accrued it still worked and was very comfortable to wear. In the end I patched it up one last time and sent it to live out its remaining life with my family in another country, It was time for me to move on. I purchased this newer version of the Icon Slim and also a City Compact and compared them side by side (could not decide which one I like best). The Icon Slim was far superior and here is why: - Extremely comfortable, the padding is exceptionally ergonomic. Even when fully weighed down, once on my back and settled it the weigh is nicely distributed and no fatigue is present even after wearing it all day. - Tough nylon outer shell is water resistant. I have used the pack while riding my bike to class in the rain and all the contents inside remained dry. Its not built to be submersed but it will prove protection in rain. - Durable materials, this pack it built to last. - Lots of organization options. You can fit a lot in it and it will remain in place and organized, just how I like it. - Adequate laptop protection! My original icon fell off a moving car (don't ask) and it protected the laptop inside from complete destruction. I am positive that this newer model is capable of doing the same. No review would be completely without at least one comment in needed improvement. This backpack has a few drawbacks: - The "360 Protection" padding for your laptop that other Incase backpacks come with is absent in the Icon. I do not understand why this is the case, but its something that I hope will be addressed in future models. - Lots of Incase products have awesome color accents, this pack has one pocket with a color accent. It would be nice to see more in future models. I expect this pack to last just as long as its predecessor. Im really excited to start using it!
