Treasures from Sutton Hoo

I purchased this book so I could research about Sutton Hoo before I watched the movie The Dig, I am a keen metal detectorist so I found the book really interesting.

This book is no longer in print (in the pipeline I believe, but who knows when?) The previously owned copy I bought was in very good condition as described by the seller. Well pleased with my buy.+

It tells the story very well and briefly and is well illustrated re the treasures

This is a very good simple straight forward presentation of the history of the site and its treasures.It is ideal as an introduction to someone with little knowledge of the importance of the site. It has interesting pictures and a well presented text.

Shedding light on a complex people the Anglo-Saxons this book is well organised written and illustrated. The pictures show the complexity of their craftsmanship and give a indication of the cultural importance of Sutton Hoo.

Absolutely fascinating. So much information and beautiful photos in this little book.

Fantastic art work . What dark ages. Brilliant.
