Dodo Juice DJBVP30 Carnauba Car Wax, Blue Velvet, 30 ml

Used it on a black 3 series with metal flake paint. First impression was that the wax is quite hard so application takes some time and the initial results were a little disappointing. Water was starting to bead but didn't run off and left water stains when dried but it did make the metal flake pop more in sunlight, which was a nice. It's was also a little hard to see when applied so it was easy to miss bits. Now my car wasn't well looked after when I got it so there was probably no wax on it to begin with and my initial application was possibly a little light due to the thickness of it. (edit: I got 5 to 6 uses out of the tub opposed to 3 to 4, so I was definitely light the first few times) After washing the car with a wax friendly car shampoo and applying this wax multiple times over the course of a few months, all water now beads up, runs off and dries with minimal staining. Also, when you get back from a 2 week holiday and find that an eagle (or presumably some other equally large bird) has used your car as a toilet, the paintwork is not etched and the sun-dried droppings wash off quite easily. So it requires some elbow grease to apply and needs a decent layer of wax to be properly effective but once you're there, it works like a charm and makes your paint shine. Got a second tub and now I only apply every 6 months or so as to maintain the coating. Also, the reviews that say warming the wax in the sun before application definitely helps get a good layer on.

Used on my metallic black paint, goes on very well! Adds a lot of shine to the paint and does a fantastic job to start with however within a week or so the hydrophobic properties didn't seem to last. Did two coats of this product after a dedicated hand polishing to remove some swirls so was hoping it would really adhere to the paint and last a while however it didn't.

Firstly, it smells absolutely gorgeous, like you could eat it levels of gorgeous... This is not recommended by the way. My car suffered from some swirl marks from the previous owner, and along with an initial polish using AG Super Resin Polish, this was added over the top. Very easy to apply (get a set of applicator sponges), leave to haze for a few minutes and buff with a nice microfibre cloth. The results were stunning, as the photos show. Being a soft wax, I'm not sure how long it will last for, but the ease of application would mean doing it again in a few months wouldn't be a chore. Its raining today and the beading is stunning. The small tub goes a long way.

Just received this car wax and with all the excellent reviews I was eager to try it. First of all, its in a very small tub, I found it almost impossible to get wax on my applicator. When I did manage to get some on I couldn't tell where I had put the wax on the car because as with normal wax you can visibly see a haze. However this doesn't haze much so I found myself going over car panels a couple of times just to make sure it had actually covered it. I own a black BMW and wash and wax my car weekly. First of all I use Autoglym super resin polish and then usually finish with Autoglym extra gloss protection. I thought I would change to this wax but wasn't impressed. Its no were near as good as the reviews on here are making out. From now on I am using my normal routine which is by far a much better finish. Thought I would give this wax another chance because of all the excellent reviews. Used it a couple of days ago and the finish I got was incredible. I spent a bit more time and applied it in the evening on a warm night. I manage to get a really deep mirror shine to my car but it took some doing. I still had trouble getting it out of the jar though so the next time I buy this product I'm going to buy the bigger jar.

I was recommended this stuff by a friend and i trust their judgement,but i was still a bit sceptical due to the fact this contains carnuba which i have had bad experiences with. Well,first you notice is it smells really nice-fantastic even. The second thing you notice is the pot is tiny and i mean reallyyyyyy tiny. However,you dont need to apply a lot-a very thin coat is all that is needed and you can go round covering the entire car without any fears of it setting like plaster. Buffing off is incredibly easy and the shine is fab. I've been a devout Autoglym user for 25 years and although i still dont have a problem with their polish,but this Dodo Juice will seal it in. Some free advice though. Stick the pot on a sunny windowsil for an hour to soften the wax and you can apply it much easier.
