Narex Woodworking Wood Mallet for Wood Scissors

Good, solid, weighty and well balanced mallet that is also well made. Have been using mine to cut big joints with a 25mm chisel, whilst building a new workbench and it has been perfect for the job. Don't waste your money on a cheapo mallet.

Used this mallet with my chisel set works a treat. It arrived before the date amazon estimated delivery date. Looks and feels solid, and it looks good. Does what it's supposed to do.

Not cheap but a good quality mallet, not used yet but by the look and feel will not fall to pieces after the first few blows.

only just received this but the build quality of the item is far superior to what i was expecting. it really is a beautifully made tool. only time will tell how well it lasts, but at first glance i'm very very pleased. the photo doesn't really do it any justice.

Just buy a solid head mallet. This is cheap laminated wood and is bound to fail at some point. Real shame because the brand is supposed to be good

A quality product with a bit of weight, well constructed and just what I wanted for wood carving.

I was disappointed to find the head of this mallet is made of three pieces of wood bonded together rather than one solid piece. Cheap way of making what was a fairly high priced mallet. As i want this mallet to stand the test of time I think I will put four long screws downwards through the head to make sure the pieces do not come apart. Bought this because of other good reviews which I now think were misleading.

The head is a bit big for me and hard to define why, not fitting it in use. I need to concentrate to can hit with it properly. Probably the reason is the product's dimensions (handle size, length). I will look to adapt it to my fingers.
