They are really designed to stick soles on to shoes in my opinion. **Q: I have some very rubbery soled fiveten bike trainers. will this stuff stick some of the torn rubber nodules back down? (rubber to rubber). thanks** A: They should do. This glue is very thick ans will cover any nodules as well as stick them together. I used it as clear putty to run around the edges of some boots. Strong and waterproof. **Q: I have a hole about 1.5 cm by 1cm in pvc bottomed trainers. would this help sealing the sole? i don't mind if i have to reapply (favourite pair)** A: It's probably as good as anything. I've used it countless times to keep old shoes going. Make sure you clean around the area first so that it takes well, and maybe use a few thin layers, allowing each to dry.
