Easier poached eggs
A bit fiddly at first, but after a couple of attempts, I can see the advantages of using Poachies rather than cracking eggs straight into the water.Open up the Poachie at the top (it’s already separated), pop it into a glass/cup and crack in your egg. Quickly lift up the Poachie, holding it together at the top, and lower it into a pan of water. Try to keep the top of the Poachie up against the side of the pan to prevent too much egg white from leaking out.Cook as long as required. I lifted up the Poachie with a slotted spoon so I could check when the egg felt firm enough.Drain on a paper towel, carefully open up the Poachie and then tip out the egg.Overall, less mess and a quicker, easier way to poach multiple eggs at the same time imo. There was a small amount of leakage with medium eggs so I do wonder if Poachies are big enough for large/extra large eggs. The price seems a bit steep, but the pack will last a long time given how infrequently I have poached eggs.

AMAZING poached eggs - EVERY TIME!
We have tried various "poached egg makers" over the years, without success, but this is a miracle product. They are so easy to use and we have a 100% success rate in producing perfect poached eggs. We were sceptical before we bought them but we can honestly say they are most definitely worth the money. For us 4.5 minutes produces the perfect combination of firmness of the whites and just right funny yolks. Try them - you won't be disappointed!

Poachies forever
There is little better than poached eggs on a slice of fresh brown bread with an avocado bottom. This 100-pack of poachies allows you to make poached eggs on an industrial scale! And it’s a healthier alternative compared to frying. We’ve tried several ways of preparing poached eggs; cook them in hot water and vinegar, silicone cups – nothing really worked. These poachies, that could double as coffee filter bags, are not perfect but they get you somewhere.First of all the resulting poached egg remains a bit dense, as if lightly baked, and the result is a fairly small sized poached egg - even if you buy the most sizeable, premium eggs. So you'll still not get restaurant-quality poached egg on your plate. Secondly it remains a messy business, some egg white will spill as you pour the egg in the pouch, even when standing up opened up in a glass. And you’ll have to pull the water soaked sleeves with the poached egg out of the cooking water again. And in my opinion there is a, say 5% chance of failure; when a bag rips, tilts prematurely or if you place it in the water too slowly. So given thee issues I would rate with 4 stars only. But I take off 1 more for the price; At 10 pence per bag this is not a cheap solution (although you are reasonably sure of an acceptable and tasty result). And it’s all very straight forward, quick and easy. But given the price I'm tempted to poach an egg with an actual coffee filter bag that I can buy at less than 3 pence per bag.I should perhaps add that we tend to cook the eggs less than the suggested 6 minutes to keep them sufficiently gooey. We first tried a set of 20 pouches that we worked through fairly quickly. And now, with more guests expected and the holiday season coming up it seemed like a good idea to stock up so we bought the pack of 100.

These Poachies are much too weak for the intended purpose.
These Poachie bags are just not up to the job. I was so disappointed as I was really looking forward to having nice fluffy eggs as I never mastered cooking them just in water as they always fall apart. A poacher pan works well but the white is always firm, not fluffy. These Poachies were to be my saviour! However, after cracking the first egg into a Poachie in a cup when I lifted it up to put it in the pan of water the egg fell out the bottom breaking in the cup! I put another Poachie into a second cup, poured the egg into it and lifted it over the pan. It leaked but I got into the water, although the bag didn't close like it should. I put a third Poachie into the cup and cracked a second egg into it. I held the cup above the pan of water and gingerly lifted the Poachie up out of the cup and over the pan and the bottom of the poachie opened and the egg fell into the hot water with a splash!Investigating a few more Poachies from the pouch I found the seam around the bottom and sides to be extremely weak and very little pressure makes it come apart! Very disappointing!
