Vichy Dercos Energy+ (the one with Aminexil) is absolutely the best hair-strengthening shampoo and a total must-have if you're dealing with thinning or breakage. The smell is a bit abnormal it has a more medicinal, clinical scent rather than a flowery one, but it’s totally worth it because of how well it works. It’s packed with Niacinamide and AHA to deeply clean the scalp, and it leaves your hair feeling significantly thicker and more resistant from the very first wash. While the scent is a little different, it doesn't linger, and the results of seeing way less hair in your brush make it a complete holy grail for anyone wanting stronger, fuller-looking hair.

I’ve been using the Vichy Dercos Energy+ Anti-Hair Loss Stimulating Shampoo (390ml) for around three months, alongside the matching conditioner. One of the standout features is how well it lathers. You need very little product to get a rich, satisfying foam. It feels like it cleans thoroughly without stripping the hair, and in combination with the conditioner, my hair feels noticeably healthier and better cared for. Even with daily washing, one bottle lasted me about three months, which makes it relatively good value given the size. I’ve seen some comments about issues with the cap or pump mechanism, but I haven’t experienced any problems across two separate orders. In fact, the bottle comes with a clever clip that secures the pump at the base, locking it in place. This makes it ideal for travel as you can put it in a suitcase without worrying about accidental leaks. In terms of formulation, it contains Aminexil, which is often described as a derivative of minoxidil (albeit less researched and tested in trials). I'm not sure it has the efficacy of minoxidil topical however, time will tell. Do be warned that topical minoxidil has the effect of accelerating an initial hair shed phase before you'll see any meaningful re-growth. Overall, I’ve found this to be a very good shampoo. It is effective, long-lasting, and easy to use. I’d happily repurchase it.
