This is absolutely phenomenal! No exaggeration, it’s just brilliant. You can set it for temperature or time. So easy to setup too. I’ve used for steak on a grill pan, chicken breasts in my air fryer and duck in my electric oven. Perfect results every time. I’ve had quite a few temperature probes but this is by far the best. Well worth every penny - and it’s not even that expensive. Excellent!

I bought this to replace one I had from years ago. So I used to buy those fold out thermometers frequently. Then got fed up with them always breaking that so paid a little extra to get something more professional looking. It's great - magnetic so I stick it up out of the way. Can handle a fair bit of splashing which kitchens are a hot bed for. Battery lasts ages. I'm talking years and that's with daily use. The temp measurements seem accurate. I'm not dead from food poisoning yet. I do actually use the temperature alarm on it so it's really useful for things like triple cooked chips where you need two different temps. Easy to flick between setting although if you're like me it usually just gets flicked to on and as long as it's set to celcius I'm happy. Really good length on the probe as well. This is my second time purchasing this because the last one drowned. Poor thing.

It works very well and arrived promptly. I tested the probe in boiling water and it read 100 degrees celsius so it is very accurate. The thermometer is easy to use and understand, however please read the instructions thoroughly to make sure you don't do anything that could damage it; for example, the stainless steel probe should not be completely submerged in water as the junction between the probe and the wire is not waterproof. The thermometer is excellent as you can leave the probe in the meat in the oven as it cooks, eliminating the need to open the oven door which would result in fluctuations in temperature. This also reduced your risk of burns, and, since a loud alarm will go off when the required temperature is reached, you can pretty much forget about it until then. You can now eat your meat knowing that it is at a safe temperature, and you will not have to overcook the meat 'just in case' which often results in a dry and unappetising meal. Some minor problems I noticed: the magnet is useful, but is a bit weak, and so the thermometer tends to wobble around when stuck to the outside of the oven. The flip out counter stand on the back isn't that much help either. Despite these issues, the thermometer is still a necessery piece of kit in my kitchen and has a wide variety of uses.

Not had dry chicken or more importantly pork which can go over so quickly and be dry. Perfect juicy chicken breast and Chinese style pork tenderloin with this and so easy to use with the presets and alarm function. Brilliant. Tip....put a bit of tape over magnet to stop it scratching the oven door.

I had an old battery operated stick pin type thermometer but it had given up after many years of use. Looked around on Amazon to see what there was and came across this one. It had some great reviews with little negatives so though why not - and took the plunge. Yes it is relatively easy to use right out the box - just plug in the thermo-probe, switch on and remove the point guard (that is a bonus for me) and use. To me it seems very accurate and has done me a good few temp checks on roast meats like beef, pork and lamb, etc. Chicken is the one to watch out for so always ensure several checks in fleshy parts of the meat. Now the great thing about this unit is the magnet on the back - allowing you to stick to the front of the oven (if a metal case) so you don't have that awkward moment that when you pull on the probe to extend it the unit comes flying off the worktop. Also another great thing is the pre-programmed temps setting for chicken, beef (3 setting for rare, med and well) fish, pork, etc. Yes you can set your own temperature should you wish to do so, but these are fine. The construction of the unit seem pretty robust and the added strength in the cable for the probe (metal) is something that feels like it will last - you can even keep the probe in the meat and shut the oven door and see the temperatures change until you get your desired internal temperature. The added bonus if you do want it is the timer facility - so even if not using the probe you can set a time and know when to remove that oven-based food item you are cooking. That said I generally use my phone. But, hey... it's an added thing. Overall a good unit for the price - very reasonable.

Ich nutze das Thermometer inzwischen regelmäßig beim Grillen und im Ofen, und es nimmt einem wirklich viel Unsicherheit ab, weil man die Kerntemperatur konstant im Blick hat. Besonders praktisch finde ich die vorprogrammierten Einstellungen für verschiedene Fleischsorten und Garstufen, gleichzeitig kann man aber auch jederzeit eine eigene Zieltemperatur setzen. Die Messung wirkt zuverlässig und stabil, und die Anzeige ist gut ablesbar, was beim Hantieren am heißen Grill echt hilft. Der Temperaturbereich ist breit genug für alles von langsamem Smoken bis zu höheren Ofentemperaturen, und das Kabel macht einen hitzefesten Eindruck. Auch die lange Sonde ist Gold wert, weil man sie bequem platzieren kann, ohne dass das Gerät zu nah an die Hitze muss. Der Timer bis fast 24 Stunden ist super für Longjobs, und dank Magnet bzw. Aufsteller kann man das Display genau dort positionieren, wo man es braucht. Zum Saubermachen wische ich es einfach kurz ab, was im Küchenalltag angenehm unkompliziert ist.
