We have purchased the largest box of these over 6 times in the last two years. Sometimes a few of the bones will be a bit lighter, thinner, and more brittle, but overall the quality is fairly consistent and good. They are the only bones we give our dogs that last longer than 20 minutes. They usually work at them for 2-3 days on and off, unless the Shiba mix is in a very determined mood (she has VERY sharp teeth that can cut through anything). Our larger Korean Village Dog (KVD) in the photo is 48 pounds and the Shiba/KVD is 38 pounds. The large size is great for both of them. We used to buy the Yak bones, but these are a better value. I'm sensitive to smell and notice no smell when they chew these, although you can smell them a tiny bit when you open the box (however, it has never once caused me to gag, if that is helpful haha).We generally take the bones away when they are under 3 inches long as a safety measure. The Shiba does tend to swallow small chunks of these on occasion, but only has gotten sick a couple of times, and she has a weaker stomach in general.Overall, I have peace of mind giving these bones to them now, but we monitored closely at the beginning to make sure they wouldn't choke. These get 5/5 stars for their chewing longevity, for not causing me anxiety, and for the happy wagging tails when I open the cabinet to get new ones. They also hurt less to kick and step on when you get up during the night.

My vet suggested collagen as a healthy alternative to Bully Stick and Cow Hide. My dog loves these. Every evening we give him a stick for a long while until he stops. We put it away and give it to him the next evening. The stick lasts several days. We tried another brand before this one and it made his paws and muzzle red. This one is clean and odor free. His teeth are beautiful and clean.

Breaks into shards as sharp as broken glass. Worst idea I've ever seen for a dog treat. I have a Rottweiler (will eat anything) and a Malamute mix (eats almost anything), both near or over 100 pounds and neither will touch it after being cut by the shards. Also leaves incredibly strong and sharp shards in the carpet which feel like walking on broken glass if you are unfortunate enough to step on one. Will go straight into your foot. Can't even imagine this is something for sale in the US.**As a side note, I love the rest of the Redbarn products and I've spent hundreds of dollars on them to my dog family's delight. I also received a very nice email from the manufacturer offering a refund on what I had purchased. Seems pretty rare customer service in today's world. My dogs love the many types of bully sticks and will be trying a bunch of new items from Redbarn in the subscribe and save delivery next month. Seems to be a good seller who simply has one product that I won't ever use again.
