Incredible Value for Money
Looks great and plays really well - for this price there is really nothing you can complain about . I have a Bari , a tenor and an alto of various decent quality makes (eg Yam) and they all have their little quirks (as does this) but you genuinely couldn't tell which cost £200 and which costs £2k . You should budget for buying a better mouth piece pretty soon and I suspect (but don't know as mine played fine out of the box) if you get a "Friday afternoon special" you might have to get it serviced sooner rather than later - but other than that it's just brilliant, very pleasently suprised !

Significant problems
At this price, quality issues were expected, but unfortunately the sax was pretty much unplayable and had to be returned. Issues included problems getting the mouthpiece onto the cork (otherwise it played way of out of tune - and there was no way to get a good quality mouthpiece I already owned to fit - the bore is unusually large), a bent tenon on the curved crook, a faulty spring on the lower C key. The mouthpiece was clearly used before, with various marks on it. The pad saver was missing. So I guess I am not the first person to handle this particular sax. There were some surprises, such as the quality of the lacquer and engraving (and pads) all being far better than you really ought to expect for something at this price. It seems these Ammoon saxophones are hit and miss, and perhaps others will receive an instrument with no problems at all.

really good for the money
when i received my soprano sax, I did a quick check and found it all seemed fine but then found the screw on the aux G and F# key was lose and the agistment linkage moved... once tightened I had to adjust to get the Bis key to close fully... playing below G was squealing and I found the F# key needed a shim but once that was added it player really well. both the f and f# key closing at the same time. the only other problem was the neck corks, both needed sanded down a bit and cork grease and mouthpiece now slipping on much better... the mouthpiece and reed that came with it are ok for starting but I use a Rico b5 that works well with this sax... over all its now playing well an everything now nice and tight... feels good in the fingers and has a surprisingly good tone... is it worth the money... yes very much so... plays much better that you imaging a £200 sax should sound... over all very happy with this Sop sax....

Poor
Sturdy appearance to carrying case but instrument looked and felt cheap and keys were not for my more stubby fingers. Basically I couldn't get a note out of it and the included reeds were awful and didn't appear to fit properly. Totally useless neck harness which was very short. Returned package for refund. Outside packaging looked as though it had been tampered with and inside box had been opened. Maybe another reason this was 3 days late from the Prime date?

bad buy
The curved neck does not fit the body, the straight neck does fit the body and the ligature is bent so I had to purchase a new ligature to be able to play it

Disappointed!
I discovered some serious defects a few weeks after buying this sax:1. A bent spring2. Leakage in some keys3. A lose rod4. It played the notes C and C sharp out of tune (this I noted immediately I bought the sax).I now wonder wheather I was sold a brand new item or a reject.

For the price a great item
It was easy to put together and play for a pure novice like myself. Shipping was quick and the only slight issue was with the instructions
