MG Chemicals 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol Electronics Cleaner, 945 mL Liquid Bottle

do's the Job I wanted it for, good quality, smell dont smell it, cleans as It should.

Saw only one other review on this product so figured I'd leave a review of my own to give other potential buyers some peace of mind. The stuff works great, used it to clean thermal paste from a CPU and it did the job with ease while evaporating quickly, leaving virtually no risk of harming my components. Not only that, this stuff is cheaper (30p or so at the time of buying) than the task-specific thermal paste cleaner made by Arctic Silver (which I have also had the pleasure of using, the only real 'advantage' to that being that it is orange-scented), and is on Amazon Prime as well unlike many of the other similarly priced bottles of isopropyl on the site.. With the MG Chemicals stuff, you obviously gain a whole lot more in terms of volume as well, and you're free to use it for other applications. I've found it does a great job of cleaning my PC peripherals also (Keyboard, mouse etc). Honestly though, if you're here to buy isopropyl then you already know what you're getting. Perhaps the best I can do is assure you that this stuff is exactly what it says on the bottle, 99% pure that will clean effectively and evaporate fast. Just make sure to use it in a well ventilated environment for your own safety. Will definitely buy again should I run out!

Isopropyl is the daddy of cleaners and prep aids. Useful for so many things, such as using cotton buds to clean intricate components and parts, use on a rag to clean rubbers and wiper blades. Evaporates quickly so you aren't hanging around if prepping parts for paint. Useful to disperse water from inside objects such as a motorcycle fuel tank! A must for any home. 99.9% means you can dilute in a bottle (or put in a refillable spray bottle) so will last ages, every home should have some!

This is great for cleaning CPU's and left no residue and been used to remove glue from mirrors with no problem making the task so easy and has so many other uses,the list goes on. The best thing about this is the Low toxicity as i'm an asthmatic is really important. Because this is 99.9% Isopropyl alcohol it can be easily diluted making it go further and last longer The bottle comes with a seal under the cap making it safe for delivery which was quick and fulfilled by Amazon. USED THIS TO GET OIL CRAYON /ACRYLIC INK OUT OF CARPET AND CLEAN MY BRUSHES...! LEAVES ARTIST BRUSHES LIKE NEW!! HOWEVER I PAID OVER £14.00 FOR MINE ! BE AWARE I GOT THE SAME EXACT ITEM FOR less than £5.00 on eBay! `i`m not saying buy on eBAY ...but just just look at the price your paying!! Also it can give you a massive headache if you are around it for long!!! Yes the windows were open ..maybe I`m sensitive to the smell /fumes?

Good quality alcohol, excellent for cleaning, leaves no residue. Great price as well, this is much larger than most of the bottles at a really good price. I keep a smaller bottle with a fine nozzle which I top up from this one.

A YouTube expert recommend this to remove flux from PCBs after soldering. The view was that even if the solder mentioned it was 'no clean' it was still a good idea to remove all flux in case it ever became corrosive - and it's a sticky brown layer on the PCB too that just attracts dust and looks dirty too. So this isopropyl alcohol, with a small horsehair brush, cleans (dissolves) flux brilliantly, very quickly, and you just mop it up using a piece of kitchen roll or similar. Now my PCBs are squeaky clean and I can see whether any joints are bad at a glance.

I bought this for a number of reasons. One of them being to clean my phone's screen before applying a new protector, and the other for hobby/model related things. I've used it to thin some Tamiya acrylics, and out of curiosity to clean my brushes--ended up doing a mix/solution of 90% IPA and 30% water. I was shocked as to how much came off of what I thought were clean brushes. But I'm also a PC enthusiast--replacing thermal compound a lot, and this helps. Good stuff--recommended.

Limpio los circuitos electrónicos que da gusto, menuda diferencia con el alcohol normal, no deja sedimento y se evapora rápidamente al 100% no dejando rastro alguno. Cunde mucho porque solo hay que utilizar una mínima cantidad para limpiar cualquier cosa. Viene con precinto sellado que evita que se pierda parte del producto durante el transporte, una vez roto el sello, el tapón de seguridad es robusto y cierra perfectamente (a prueba de niños). Muy contento con la compra.

This alcohol has a very high concentration, so it’s important to store it properly — away from light and in a cool place. I originally started using this during the pandemic, disinfecting items right when I came home — including my phone — and it became a habit. Now I still use it regularly. I usually transfer it into a separate dark brown bottle, filling it with two-thirds alcohol and one-third water. This makes it last longer，safer, while still being effective. When handling it, I recommend wearing gloves, as alcohol can cause dryness or irritation if it comes in contact with skin too often. Overall, the value is excellent — I don’t need to keep buying expensive disinfectant sprays. One bottle lasts me months (my last one lasted about half a year), and I can make my own disinfectant anytime at home.

Le top du top du clean !! Lui perso je fais tout avec et c'est GÉNIAL !! Aucune trace, nettoie smartphone, tv led, etc... franchement : JE RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT !!

Mein Baumarkt um die Ecke führt leider kein Iso-Propanol und in der Apotheke zahlt man wahrhaftige "Apothekenpreise". Daher habe ich 1 Liter MG Chemicals Isopropanol hier bei Amazon bestellt. Es war das billigste Angebot mit 7,99€/ Liter. Ich benutze es in einer 70% Lösung mit destillierten Wasser (also 7 Isoprop : 3 H20) als Reiniger für die Elektronik im Haushalt (Bildschirme, Handys, Tablets, Notebooks, Tastatur usw usw). Mit hervorragenden Effekten - es gibt keinen besseren Reniger für ein fettiges Smartphone Display! Den Geruch von Desinfektionsmittel muss man allerdings abkönnen - manchen dreht sich da ja der Magen um (Krankenhausgeruch). Mich störts nicht. Die 70% Lösung eignet sich auch gut, um kleine Wunden (Achtung, brennt wie Hölle), vorallem aber Gegenstände zu desinfizieren In reiner Form (also 99,9% Isoprop) habe ich es kürzlich verwendet um einen eingeklebten Akku aus meinem Smartphone zu entfernen und ihn gegen einen neuen auszutauschen. Das Isoprop löst den Klebstoff an ohne die Elektronik anzugreifen und verdunstet rückstandslos. So lässt sich der Akku mit ganz wenig Kraft lösen. Es ist einfach ein gutes Lösungsmittel das rückstandfrei verdunstet und Plastik/Elektronik nicht angreift.
