I was skeptical about even trying this product as I have and have always had sensitive skin. I struggle to find razor brands that are gentle enough for my skin but not rough enough to damage it, so my interest was peeked when I came across this "hair eraser" and decided to give it a shot.For starters, the description here and the instructions that come with the product itself don't provide much information at all and they both look like they were written in a different language and then hastily run through Google Translate. I still don't know how it works! Saying "crystaline technology" isn't very descriptive. Does it have small crystal blades? Is it made of glass? Is there a magic hair removing crystal powering it? Who knows. Still, everything seemed plain and simple at first glance, wet your skin with warm water and then use the eraser in gentle circular motions, DONT use on sensitive areas and DONT be too rough with it. Well, at least for me being "gentle" was immediately off the table as contact between skin and the eraser feels like trying to rub sandpaper on silicone. Instead of "gliding" across like a razor would, the eraser gripped my skin and moving it in gentle circular motions was impossible. No problem, applying just a little more pressure fixed this. I couldnt even be mad, from my ankles up to my knee, my skin itself is pretty smooth and normal and the eraser successfully and painlessly removed MOST (not all) of the hair and as advertised left the area smooth and free of hair. But from the knee up, my skin changes. There's more bumps and stretch marks and other imperfections that come with being human. And this is where everything began falling apart. The texture issue from before and the lack of knowledge of what exactly the product even DOES to remove the hair came largely into play here. This area was completely IMPOSSIBLE to cover with the "gentle circular motions" because the surface of the eraser gripped my skin completely instead of gliding across it. And if you think adding more pressure like before will help, DO NOT. I tried that so you don't have to, and I regret every second of it. My thigh was on FIRE. To be fair, the skin on the surface of my thigh is now smooth and hairless in most areas just like my lower leg before, but it's also red, swollen, almost rashlike, and even bleeding in some places. Yes, the eraser took some skin with it. At first I thought this was because the eraser was plucking the hairs, as I've plucked hairs before and gotten similar swelling and redness as a result (though never bleeding). But after looking again there still appears to be stubble in some of the swollen hair follicles, so maybe it(the eraser) does work like a razor after all? I wouldn't know because as I'm now mentioning for about the 3rd time, nowhere in the product description is there any mention past "crystaline technology" on how exactly the product removes or "erases" the hair.But my adventure doesn't end there, as I have a high pain tolerance and may be a little unhinged. So I decided to give the hair eraser one last good ol fashioned American try. After all, it worked perfectly and exactly as advertised on my lower leg. It only became a warzone after attempting to use it on my upper leg. Everything I mentioned before I did in the shower, as I felt it would be the best place to keep my skin moist with warm water as per the instructions, but this time I tried it freshly OUT of the shower, ONLY on my lower leg where my skin is smooth and easier to navigate, and with the previously mentioned "gentle circular motions", and unsurprisingly, no strawberry legs, no rashes, no bleeding or pain of any kind, and most importantly no hair. Only smooth soft skin. It was only then that I realized I forgot to shave my knee bends but after everything my thigh just went through there was no was I was gonna risk the knee bends or my other thigh. Not exactly what I was expecting since my goal was to completely replace the need for a razor, but it does still save some time on my lower legs. Everything else however will still have need of the razor treatment.Overall, the product does what it’s intended to do, the description does mention NOT to use it on sensitive areas (at least I think it does) so I can’t even be upset. But it definitely does need an updated more detailed (and legible) description. My takeaway, if you have sensitive skin, don’t use it on elbowbends, kneebends, thighs, or “pelvic areas”. But DO use it on flatter surfaces like lower legs, arms, maybe even your back. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Real Talk: Yes it works... is it worth it? More complicated. *by T***K on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2023* TLDR: Yes it absolutely removes the hair. Easily & Safely. I will keep using it...But Is it worth it? Less clear. The only real solid thing I think this has over shaving is that if you have beginner shavers, or if you cut yourself a lot, this certainly seems safer. Also it does leave your skin VERY smooth and soft.It takes about the same time as shaving. It's maybe less of a hassle than shaving, since you don't need water or shaving cream, but I usually dry shave, so for me it's really pretty much the same.If you have sensitive skin or Tattoos in the area your shaving this is FOR SURE not for you. It doesn't hurt at all while you are doing it, but if you push too hard or try to go too fast, then you will definitely have a lot of red itchy skin a few hours to a day afterward. As for the tattoos, I would definitely expect that prolong use will fade your ink faster than shaving does.If you DON'T have sensitive skin or tattoos then the advantage here is that it basically does exfoliate your skin a little bit as you use it. It essentially sands the hair off your body. It also takes a while to do the job. My legs did ok. My arms are a tiny bit scab rashes. I can’t wear a bathing suit or short shorts and a t shirt until I heal a bit because the rashes on my forearms and knees look like I’ve been up to some naughty shenanigans and I just don’t need that kind of attention in my life. Please, please, at all cost avoid the underarms and lady bits. I was debating on if I would give this thing a second try to see if it was just a first time reaction. However, the crystal was not glued into the handle very well and when my husband picked it up to ask what it was, the crystal piece fell onto the ground and shattered leaving my bathroom floor looking like it had just been given a fine glittery, sparkle treatment.
