The Bigjigs station for a wooden railway set is a colourful and well-built accessory. It is a sturdy piece capable of being played with for years. I connects to all wooden railway piees and has an entry/exit point at both ends meaning it can be a feature along a track. It could also serve as an endpoint as there is a plastic barrier that can be put down to signify the end of the line. The colouring is the usual Bigjigs bright and engaging style. The slate grey roof has plenty of detail on it with a picture of a clock right at the top. The roof extends across the track to make it more than just something sitting alongside as most station designs seem to be. It is a step above other stations other than the major pieces like the Bigjigs Rail Grand Central Station . The overhanging section is supportedb sturdy wooden struts. The same firm wooden supports hold the main section together. The station design itself is a bright red colour with yellows, blues, and greens offering contrasts. It is a fun colour scheme. The station entrance is open so there are no doors or similar fun things unfortunately. It does mean that it is possible to pretend to push little people through onto trains. The design has held up well with no damage in more than 2 years of play. The screw-in plug has not fallen out though that is a risk with this ind of design rather than the sculpted wood. The plastic barrier has warped eve so slightly but not to the detriment of play. It seems the design including having a barrier may have changed over time slightly. The station works well. It is an ideal second station point on the line after the Grand Central Station and makes an excellent addition to a wooden railway track.

Bought for 2 year old granddaughter to add to her railway set. Her initial reaction was wow and it fitted in so well with her railway tracks. She loved that it was a station where the people could wait for the train, like she does, to see trains at her local station. Its very sturdy and practical. Her only disappointment was that the accessories in the picture on the box were not included in the box, she couldn’t understand why they weren’t there 😄

Children get so many toys at Christmas, it is difficult to know what to buy. My granddaughter (3) loves this wooden railway station.

Very neat train station. Deff worth the 30 dollars. Sturdy wood construction. Id say 4 pounds worth of wood total. Graphics are also great. Top clock tower just sits on the top with a small dowel rod insert. Not the best on that part but wood glue would fix that if you dont want it removed. Id say a solid 9/10 for this unit. I wish melissa and doug made more buildings like this one for a town!

Dieser Holzbahnhof für die Eisenbahn ist sehr hübsch, robust und kindgerecht. Nur die aufgesteckte Uhr auf dem Dach fällt schnell herunter. Ich werde sie wohl ankleben müssen.
