Had a similar one that finally gave out after years, and did not want a scooper with a trigger, since they always break. Found this scooper at a reasonable price, so gave it a try. The kids love it, easier to use than the trigger (and won't break as easily). I have been pleasantly suprised by the ease of cleaning, cleans up quickly in sink, or in dishwasher. The other thing is, unlike some other scoopers I've had, this scoop does a great job of smoothly and evenly "cutting" through frozen solid ice cream without tearing the ice cream into tiny pieces. Very happy with the value, ease of use/cleaning, and performance of this ice cream scoop.

Cuts through ice cream soooo easily! The handle is comfortable to grip and the scoop is sturdy which makes it very easy to use. Moves right through the ice cream creating a true scoop of ice cream.

Works very well. This scooper feels so sturdy in your hand compared to others. The ice cream just slides right off it’s so easy to use and makes the perfect size scoop! It’s not sharp to the touch but glides smoothly into the ice cream. Great purchase!

It's a good scoop and works well, but the size is not the best if you're dipping regular ice cream. Be careful which you get.

The real advantage of this, is that i can drop it in a dishwasher. Many scoops need to be hand washed because the heat of the dishwasher ruins the special insides of the scoop — this works well as a scoop, I’ve dishwashed it many times already, with no problem. Other scoops I’ve bought, had problems with the metal surface pitting or coming off. (I had that problem with 2 KitchenAid’s, did not have that problem with 2 OXO’s…) So far, this is fine as a replacement for one KitchenAid that is pitted and exposing the metals below.. If I develop problems, I will come back and mention them in this review.

My previous one lasted about 2 months and was from a well known supermarket. It snapped in two. This far superior scoop was great value and definitely has longevity.

It can be difficult to get a proper round scoop of ice cream with this scoop, but because it has so much thermal mass (and only on sale for a fiver!) it will scoop out even the most hardened and coldest of ice cream. I don't have to wait for the ice cream to thaw anymore. Due to my impatience from rarely letting the ice cream thaw out a bit, our old scoop is bending backwards (it was made of cheap thin metal anyway) and now it's time for a new one. This scoop fits perfectly for our use case. I don't need a perfect scoop to sell. I need an easy to use ice cream scoop, and this fits the bill perfectly in terms of form, function, and price!

Love this. Beautiful colour, comfortable to hold and easy to use. Versatile as I have been using it more for baking. Great price and dishwasher safe. Very much recommended

Good size ice cream scoop which has been hand washed several times and still looks like new (haven’t risked putting it in the dishwasher). Is a good weight and very solid with a nice shaped handle which fits comfortably in the hand. Easy to scoop ice cream just out of the freezer.
