I hired this for labour with my second child and it was amazing. I used it during the latent phase and right through active labour until I got my epidural, and it made such a difference with managing the pain. The hiring process was really straightforward, and the machine itself was easy to use, comfortable to wear, and came with clear instructions. It gave me so much relief and confidence during labour — I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough.

So I used this during my Labour and I mean the experience was so surreal. I do feel as though it did help mange the pain in terms of redirecting my brain but quite honestly… it was still very painful however happy I used this.

Great service! Delivered exactly at 37 weeks. Comes with all the paperwork and simple instructions to return once you are done. I must admit I haven’t used it yet as I’m still waiting for my baby to come along but I’m glad to have this in my hospital bag ready for when I need it. I would highly recommend the hire of a machine as it’s much better value than purchasing one.

I hired this TENs machine and needed it the following day due to another TENs machine I had been promised not available. The seller sent the TENs straight away. It was well packaged, had spare batteries included and easy to follow instructions. It was neat and compact and fitted in the hospital bag without taking up much room. It was soooo useful during active labour. I ended up being induced and on the oxytocin drip. I what wanted as natural a birth as possible so decided to see how long I could go just using the TENs for pain relief. I found it a really good distraction and I liked the fact that there was a boost button, to help me focus more on the tingling sensation rather than the contractions. I also liked the fact that the Elle TENs had levels and it went up to 15 I think. This meant that I didn’t crank it up too soon and it was good to know I could always increase the settings if needed. I found the TENs so effective I didn’t need any pain relief and I delivered my baby 6 hours after active labour had started. I liked the fact that I had enough time to send the unit back post birth without being rushed and that a return envelope was included. Hiring the Elle TENs was one of the best decisions I made re my pregnancy and labour and for me was really worthwhile. It distracted me/allowed me to focus sufficiently that I gave birth naturally and drug free, for which I am incredibly grateful for.

This was a last minute impulse purchase for me as I approached my due date. I could not of got through labour without this amazing gadget. I had never used a tens machine before and it arrived in good time and had easy instructions. I managed most of my labour at home using only this machine. Did not want to buy one myself so the hire worked perfectly for me. Well worth the money.

This was a great value service if you’re after a maternity TENS machine Easy to use machine and clear instructions. When it comes to gold birth though don’t expect this to cure the pain!

Would 100 per cent recommending renting the TENS machine. It arrived clean and well packaged. I used the machine throughout my 12 hours of contractions and managed to avoid the use of any epidural. It also allowed me to delay the use of other painkillers until I reached active labour. I recommend all pregnant women to give a TENS machine a try!

One of the pairs of batteries provided didn't work. Good thing there was a spare, else I wouldn't have been able to use at the time I needed it. One of the cords also didnt work, but the spare did. Otherwise it worked well. It helped distract from my labor pains. Please can you make sure the device, wires and batteries are tested because it would be a shame if they didnt work for a woman in labor.
