Colombia’s biggest legal export is coffee, Jesuit priests first brought coffee to Colombia from Venezuela in the 16th Century, and since then coffee and Colombia have been almost synonymous... This coffee is rich in flavour, with notes of hazelnut and caramel, a subtle sharpness and medium body.

The flavour profile is malty, sweet and nutty, with distinct notes of peanut,treacle tart and buttered toast........Chez Toi is French for 'At Home' and was conceived as the domestic sales division of Cafe Du Monde Ltd. A Company that has traded for over 22 years and is today still owned and managed by its founders David and Mike.

They originally began by selling the idea of putting cafetiere ground coffee in sealed sachets to ensure that the coffee was always fresh and that the amount was correct so that a perfect cup of cafetiere coffee could be served in restaurants and bars at any time of day.

David and Mike had both worked in sales and had found, when entertaining customers, Coffee served at the end of a meal was often filter coffee which had been allowed to stand too long and became stale and bitter. By offering freshly brewed coffee to increasingly more discerning customers, they felt they could be successful.

Today Cafe du Monde employs twelve people and is the UK's fourth independent coffee supplier, selling Coffees,Teas and equipment to mainly high end Restaurants Hotels and gastropubs, who demand and expect... quality, service and reliability. It sounds trite but they have many loyal and long standing customers who do indeed trust and rely upon the Company and the brand.....
