Staedtler FIMO Gloss Varnish, 35ml Clear Coating High-Gloss Sealant

Tested about 9 glazes on baked polymer clay jewelry and this is my favorite. Doesn't leave streak marks, doesn't feel tacky when dry like a few of the others I tested.

When I received the jar of varnish, it appeared rather liquidy. Weeks later, when I opened it, it was thick, dry, and pasty. The label said to keep it away from heat or cold, and I wondered if it had just been stored in a slightly cool place too long. I filled a bowl with warm water, and set the jar down in it (not submerged, but just so the water came almost to the lid). After the water came to room temperature, I warmed the water again and repeated the process several times. The varnish slowly returned to a liquid consistency, and was ready to use. Used this to glaze a set of polymer clay crochet hook handles. I did two coats of varnish, and it created a beautiful, glossy finish. Will definitely use again, but this jar will last a long time.

Bought this on a whim, as I wasn’t sure it would work. But it was the best decision. The gloss is perfect, dries quickly and its easy to apply.

Didn’t realize how small the bottle was but that’s not really my issue. If there’s a crease in something, the liquid will build up in that crease and it doesn’t dry completely clear in the creases. Other than that it’s a good product for protection. It’s almost like a water glue..

I use this gloss to protect and add some shine to my finished polymer clay pendants/earrings.

Unlike the old varnish the new material takes two coats. The result seems to be just as good though

It's not glossy enough for me. I love a lot of shine. It's low to medium

great varnish for the polymer clay charms, gives that nice sheen to the finished product, easy to use, just paint on with a brush and hang to dry.

Buscaba una caja de navidad para regalar unos tarros de conserva y no encontraba nada, así que un día paseando por la calle, iban a tirar un cajón de fruta de madera en la frutería y me lo regalaron. Lo limpié muy bien y lo decoré con servilletas de navidad que tenía por casas, las pegué con la cola blanca del colegio de mis hijos, quedó genial pero notaba que no tenía un buen acabado. Entonces me puse a investigar y encontré este producto que tiene un tamaño muy pequeño en comparación con otras personas que lo usan bastante, pero como no es mi caso, que era de uso puntual he tenido de sobra. de hecho le di dos capas a la caja y me sobró la mitad. Ha quedado genial, le ha dado un brillo satinado. Les encantó la caja y el tarro de conservas ;)
