easy to fit. Once you have cut a hole in the ceiling. Whole thing depends on how accurately spaced the joists are. Suggest you read right through before starting which I didn't. You need to have some timber handy to fit between the joists to support the "ends" of the hatch. Seems well made and insulated. Will buy another

Why has this not been checked by Quality Control?
This hatch arrived and I instantly opened it to find that the door had a bump in the centre of the door. Within minutes of receiving it, I contacted the manufacturers who told me it is part of the process when making it. They asked me to send them a picture which I did and they then stated it needs to go back to Amazon.I had to be reimbursed which takes 3-5 days but at the same time, I had to order another because even though Amazon arranged a pickup/return from my home after sending them the same picture, they will not swap it or even have it checked before it is dispatched. Lets just hope it comes without the same defect because it looks awful.......UPDATE FOR SECOND ONE PURCHASED.....Second one arrived and still had the same issue. A massive lump right in the centre of the drop hatch. Too late to send back as it is for a job. The owners refused to pay for it so I am now out of pocket because I had no choice but to fit it before they came back off their holidays.
