Good hatching time
The egg took about 24 hours to start to break and then broke down slowly over the next day. Good compared to similar products I have bought which hatched within hours. Definitely leave the mermaid in the water for a few days afterwards to fully grow.

Beware the pink egg!
A major problem with these eggs is that you aren’t guaranteed a unicorn... If you get a pink egg, then unfortunately you’ve got a fairy. Why is that an issue? Well, the fairy comes out looking more like a creepy cross eyed hobgoblin masquerading as a fairy! The unicorn, on the other hand, is cute. Don’t get me wrong, it looks more like a dumpy rhino than the majestic unicorn showcased on the box, but it’s sweet nevertheless. The egg is fun to watch hatch, but don’t have any illusions about what the toy inside is going to look like.

Disappointed not as described
So I bought one of these for my daughter and upon hatching it and expecting a unicorn or fairy as said it would be in the description it hatched into a rabbit, I ended up with a very unhappy little girl, completely false description!!!
