BLCCLOY4 Sets 2020 Series Aluminum Extrusion Profile Black Flexible Pivot Joint Connector with Handles

Ordered these so I could make a panel raising jug using some spare extrusions I had laying around. The fact that the connecters can lock the angle of the bars in place made them ideal for my application.

These locking pivot joints will up your game when making enclosures, jigs or fixtures from aluminum extrusions. You'll need to thread the hole in the end of the extrusion with a 6mm x 1.0 tap, but it only takes a few seconds. These mount securely, and lock in position with a turn of the handle, which is a standard pull-to-disengage type so you can position it where it's out of the way or easy to access. They are small enough that they won't get in the way.

This part is a hinge that can be locked in place at different angles and kept there with the supplied screw already installed, or use the handle that's included for when more constant adjustments are needed, the handle is spring loaded. One side of the hinge has tabs to hold it square in a 2020 extrusion, the other side has four tabs, which won't allow the part to sit flat in a extrusion, not sure what these tabs are for, but I'll have to file them off for my use with a laser. No tools are supplied, and the supplied screws for the hinge are a odd size, does come with t slot nuts and screws to fit

These refuse to hold in place, and if you try to make them, they instantly strip out. There is no rubber pad or post in the middle to apply force, so there is no friction. I tried roughing the surfaces up with a file, and it did nothing either
