Best protein shake I’ve ever had
Product: Evolve Plant Based Protein Shake, Vanilla Bean I recently tried the Evolve Plant Based Protein Shake in the Vanilla Bean flavor, and I have to say, I am impressed with the taste and quality of this product. Firstly, the flavor of the Vanilla Bean protein shake is delicious. It has a smooth and creamy texture, and the vanilla flavor is rich and indulgent. Some protein shakes can have an artificial taste, but this one tastes natural and satisfying. It's a great option for those who enjoy a classic vanilla flavor. The protein content of this shake is also impressive. It provides 20 grams of high-quality plant-based protein per serving, which is great for supporting muscle recovery and growth. I found that this protein shake kept me feeling full and satisfied for hours, making it a convenient and nutritious option for post-workout or as a meal replacement. One of the standout features of the Evolve Plant Based Protein Shake is its clean ingredient list. It is made with pea protein, brown rice protein, and hemp protein, which are all excellent plant-based sources of protein. The shake is also free from soy, dairy, and gluten, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities. I also appreciate that this protein shake is sweetened with stevia, a natural zero-calorie sweetener. It provides a subtle sweetness without any artificial aftertaste. Additionally, the shake is low in sugar, which is a bonus for those who are watching their sugar intake. The packaging of the Evolve Plant Based Protein Shake is also convenient. It comes in a ready-to-drink bottle, making it easy to grab on the go or toss in a gym bag. It doesn't require any mixing or blending, which is a time-saver for busy individuals. Overall, I highly recommend the Evolve Plant Based Protein Shake, Vanilla Bean flavor, for anyone looking for a delicious and nutritious plant-based protein option. It delivers on taste, quality, and convenience. Whether you're an athlete, fitness enthusiast, or simply looking to incorporate more plant-based protein into your diet, this protein shake is a fantastic choice.

If you suffer from IBS, this is the shake for you!
Let me start out by saying that if you are used to protein shakes made from milk protein or whey protein, as I was, you probably won't like the taste or texture of this shake when you first try it. However, by the 2nd bottle, the flavor and texture grows more palatable and by the third bottle, you're fully acclimated to it. I developed IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) that causes me cramping and gastric distress if I consume certain foods like dairy products. I was drinking Muscle Milk and Six Star protein shakes which made my IBS worse. At the time, I didn't know I had IBS and didn't think that these protein shakes were adding to the problem - until I stopped drinking them. So, after reading an IBS diet that listed what fruits and vegetables I can eat, I noticed that peas was on the list. I recalled trying a protein shake made from pea protein and I thought it tasted like a cement smoothie. I saw this on the shelf at Walgreens and thought I'd give it a try. Although the taste was not as good as Muscle Milk, it was really not that bad and got better tasting with each bottle I drank. But the big takeaway is that it not only didn't upset my gut, it actually had a calming effect as if I had drank a glass of water mixed with powdered Acacia (a soluble fiber recommended for IBS sufferers). Now, my morning routine consists of having a bottle of Evolve as a pre-breakfast starter followed by a regular breakfast an hour later. I drink it at room temperature so as not to cause a shock to my system when first waking up. Others may prefer it chilled. I really like the Vanilla flavor as well as the Chocolate flavor variety. So give it a try but have on at least two occasions before deciding it;s not for you.

Why All the Hate? This Is At Least Decent!
Note: This review was for the pre-2021 reformulation. I have bought the 2021 vanilla and it is barely drinkable, even cold. Get the old stuff while you can; the 2021 formula is far too sweet and no longer has the enjoyable mouthfeel. AVOID. When I see a lot of one-sentence reviews dogging a product, I start to wonder if there's some campaign paying people to flood a product with one-star reviews, or even buy it and similarly trash it. The only other alternative is that people actually think it's helpful to write ultra-short reviews or they think it makes them look good. (Hint: it does neither). Anyhow, I've bought this a few times from Amazon and I'll relate my experiences. First, out of three shipments, I've had two bottles break. Two. Second, since they have become routinely available, they've tasted good enough. I think I got a pre-reformulation of the toasted almond from Walgreens and it was great. These however, taste fine provided that you shake them up first. They also do taste better cold. However, they do NOT taste medicinal. They do NOT taste like cough syrup. They do NOT taste like chemicals. Again, either bad batches have been sent out or there's something else going on. Third, I can taste stevia but I can't taste it here. This isn't too sweet. It is distantly chalky, but mostly it's just smooth and pleasant. It keeps me full; it gives me energy. It has a nice mouth feel. Best yet, it's 160 calories and NO SUCRALOSE. I think it's a little deceptive to market a protein/health shake and then pump it full of artificial sugars (hello Muscle Milk and Premier), but hey, to each his own. I also enjoy the fact that this doesn't have a raft of vitamins in it. I don't want to monkey with my supplement routine, so it's nice to know if I want protein, bam, here it is -- protein and nothing else. Fourth, yes, it has 250 ml of sodium in it. That's 10% of your RDA, folks. Drinking this is NOT eating fries from Mickey D's. Anyways, if you're looking for something that is actually healthy for you, does what it says, tastes good enough, and beats the local stores on price, this is it. And if you're curious, yes, I'm planning to buy this or the toasted almond 11 oz again, soon.

Some cartons are leaking in recent batches
It took me a little while to develop a taste for these. They’re good and I drink them daily. Lately, some of the cartons have had quality control issues: They leak after being opened. At least 2 have leaked from cracks between the carton and spout attachment while I was drinking them. And some of them have a visible gooey substance at the corners of the piece that connects the spout to the carton, before being opened. The pictures I attached show the goo before and after I indented it with a fingernail. If it’s glue, then it’s not drying. It might be the drink itself that has oozed out some cracks. Either way, it’s happening in about 1 in 4 cartons lately.

BEST PLANT-BASED PROTEIN SHAKE ON AMAZON!
Great protein drink! I’m not a huge fan of the taste but it’s definitely not bad. This shake is made with pea protein isolate so it doesn’t hurt my belly at all. It also contains a large serving of fiber which is a huge plus. I’ve been taking it for about two weeks and I feel great.

Used to be great, than they changed the formula
This stuff used to be my go-to. I was happy to find a non-dairy based protein shake and drank it for multiple years. Than, about 6-12 months the formula changes and it just wasn't good anymore. I wrote the company and received the following: "Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding the problem you experienced with our EVOLVE Ideal Vanilla Protein Shake products. We share your concern and sincerely regret any inconvenience and concern this caused. I want to assure you that the formula has not changed. Please know that I've shared the information you provided with the appropriate bottling facility for their review. I've also mailed out replacement coupons, which you should receive in about 10 days." As a consumer, I can appreciate the company trying to make it right. Whether ill-informed or just downright deceitful, the formula 100% has changed. All these reviewers that wonder how anyone could rate this 5 star I am guessing didn't have these before the formula switch. There are other reviewers that have pointed out the same thing I have noticed, a definitive change in the taste, but not just that, also the consistency. The best way I can describe this is the way powder protein drinks taste when you make them at home. You know, that slightly chalky water-downed taste - that's what these taste like now where before they were extremely rich flavored. Considered these are fairly pricey, this is a big hit and I have stopped drinking them all together. I am still looking for a suitable replacement. Why mess up a good thing? Probably to save Pepsi some money since they acquired the makers of Evolve, CytoSport, back in early 2019. Hopefully it hurts enough to switch back, but my guess is the brand just dies off instead, at least their prepackaged product. It's an age old story.
