These are good quality, well nicely painted maracas with a mellow, hushed rattle. id have preferred mine to be a bit louder, hence only 4 stars, but thats entirely a subjective view. a little large for children under 6 to handle, yet still lightweight. Quick despatch.

Whilst Camping last week it occurred to us how many songs can be accompanied by Maracas!Interview With A Vampire being one.I ordered them on the Sunday and they arrived on the Tuesday.We went camping again this weekend and the Maracas made the night!Everyone had a go and the more drunk we got the more rhythm we developed.They are not a toy but a quality piece of kit!The sound they make is brilliant and you couldn't make home made one's (with two Pringle tubes and dried peas) cheaper so they are a bargain!

I had a pair exactly like this one many years ago. They may just look like two sticks with some hollow eggs and seeds inside (which is really what they are), but they are actually a fantastic rhythm instrument and once you got a rhythm, you just can't stop moving, which makes playing the Maracas a fantastic and fun exercise. I found some great instruction videos on Youtube (hope I'm allowed to mention this platform in my review), which explain different techniques of using them and show that there's more to Maracas than shaking them about. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Ideal hold but disappointed that the shake is not very loud as not enough contents to make a good sound.

These maracas are completely awesome. Sounds deadly, look beautiful. Good grip in a hand. You may immediately feel into the instrument to play triplets or quarters. Superb price to value ratio. Sounds superb when recorded - nice parabolic shape of spectrum make them sound with full and rich, coherent sound. Very good purchase.
