Now I have one USB-C charger for all my laptops
A very convenient adapter, allowing using a regular USB-C charger. Now I need to carry one charger for all laptops while travelling. Great value for the price.

Works like a charm!
My aging 11" Dell XPS was a hand-me-down some years ago. It's no speed demon but for checking email, booking hotels, other trip planning, and social media while out on the road, it can't be beat. It's light and convenient, too, but carrying around the power brick and its cords is getting old.So I was happy to find this adapter, which lets me get rid of the unitasking brick and its cords! Mating it with a good USB-c/PD/thunderbolt cable and the right adapter, multitaskers I travel with anyway, I'm in business!I checked it with a couple of different adapters capable of outputting 20 volts at more than the 45watts needed by the laptop. Both worked just as well as Dell's brick and cord setup, yielding identical charging speeds. When the same cord was inserted into a normal, low output USB-c on the other hand, the laptop continued on battery power without recognizing the attempt to charge it.

Works great with XPS 9343
Works great with my Dell XPS 9343 and Anker 725 65W charger. Finally don't need the OEM charger

Not compatible with Inspiron 15 3000
Not compatible with Inspiron 15 3000. It fits halfway into the slot (it's a little too long) but is loose and absolutely refuses to charge. Tried it with an outlet, a power cord, a battery pack, and 4 different cables, all of which worked with other devices. Inspiron 15 3000 should not be listed as a compatible model.

Solves the problem of a single USB-PD Port on older Dell Laptops
I am using this on a Dell XPS 9560. It has USB-PD charging but the laptop only has a single USB-C port, so using it for charging blocks it from being used for anything else. That's the only USB 3.1 10Gbs port on the laptop, the USB-A ports are all USB 3.0 5Gbs. For an external/portable NVME, that makes a huge difference.I could have gone back to the original charger that came with the laptop, but I really, really, REALLY enjoy not having to carry yet more chargers and cables, I have one that charges my laptop, tablet, phone, watch and other misc devices, many at the same time. So that's not an option. The single USB-PD port is also only rated up to 60W with a 'foreign' charger. Dell's USB-C docking stations can charge up to 90W, in my testing, but they reserve that protocol for only Dell docks. Other docks and chargers top out at 60W, often much less, in the 40s if the laptop just isn't feeling it.This little guy bypasses all of this. It handles the USB-PD negotiation and outputs the 20V the laptop expects in it's standard charging port, and it negotiates in to the 90W range, if your USB charger can handle it, and it also leaves the single USB-C port open for drives or hubs or docking stations that can't provide as much power to use. This has earned a permanent spot in my travel kit. I'd replace it immediately if I lost it somewhere.

Dell Computer USB-C Charge Adapter
This adapter allows me to charge my Dell laptop using an ordinary usb-c charge cable. If it included some kind of attachment point for a lanyard I would have given it 5 stars, it's one of those things that easily gets lost.

Works great! Compact, but feels really high quality
7/31/2024 Update: connected to my Power Delivery battery bank after letting the internal laptop battery discharge today. Converter is negotiating 20 watts of power without issue and my (ancient) laptop is charging over USB C. Great! Photo is of my setup showing everything working. As always, can't see the LED readout on the cable, but can tell you that it is generally at 20 W which is what it was showing when I took this picture. After about 45 minutes at this, it remains cool to the touch.Recommend.Original review:Showed up today and gave it a quick check on my old Dell Inspiron 11 3000 i3168. The battery was already fully charged, so I haven't been able to see if it will manage full charging wattage, but I don't have many doubts now seeing it work.Had it connected to a watt meter and it was negotiating 8-15 watts without issue. Will test it out when the battery has discharged a bit to see how it handles a full recharge.
