Really good, now can listen to music in the bath.

This battery pack is a good purchase not only for power backup but I think makes the device look quite smart. Its weighty and the build quality is good. Setup couldn't be simpler and it just works. Not exactly a budget buy but that's the only negative thing I have to say about it.After fully charging it I ran my Dot on battery for a couple of hours before reconnecting. Its claimed they will give up to five hours but I suppose that depends on what you are doing with it.Overall I'm very happy with the battery base and recommend it to anyone with a Dot.

I bought two of these for two Echo Dot's we have. I needed battery support for my bathroom Echo. I did have great expectations but I wasn't surprised at being let down once again. The good points, the connection to Echo is simple, charging port is easy to plug in, it looks neat and works well. However, there is only a 5000mAh battery in the base which lasts max 3 hours, there's enough room in the base for a battery twice that size! It also takes an age to charge. If I put my Echo on the fully charged base in the morning and don't use it all day by the following morning the battery is dead. So standby is about fifteen hours as stated.It could have been so much better. Anyway I've managed to get a charger cable into the bathroom with a 12v extension from Amazon and it now works as I'd hoped. So I managed to get a small victory from the jaws of defeat once again.

This battery base is specifically designed and will only work for the Echo Dot 5. Connecting the cradle and Echo Dot is very simple, using a solid interlink connecter which comes with the battery crable,Once connected was able to transport Echo dot with ease around my home whilst steal listening to the radio. Also was very released that i could connect the mains power without taking it out of it;'s cradle.I was however, very disappointed by the amount of power this battery base holds. Also, although the interlink connecter is securely locked into both device, the connecter can be dislodged cutting power to the Echo dot, This happened twice to me, and as a result made me a little altra aware of this fact..

It was easy to install & connect. It is working perfectly.

This battery base looks good and is simple to set up. However, the battery life is extremely short. It also seems that there is no off switch for the base. This means that if you use the base for half an hour and then switch the Alexa off, the battery base continues to run down its battery. This means that every time you go back to use it, the battery is dead. I was hoping for a base that I could leave in my bathroom for a few days at a time before having to recharge, but it isn’t fit for that purpose.

Bought this for my elderly mother-in-law as she injured herself in the bathroom one day and was trapped for hours, so as she was used to using an echo dot and could make a phonecall from it if needed, we needed a solution so we could have an echo dot in the bathroom and not need to worry about cables etc.So we bought another echo dot and this battery base unit so she could use the echo dot to call us for help if she gets stuck again, great idea at the time, but this battery base battery lifespan was shockingly little in reality! At full charge, and not even using the echo dot for anything, it still completely drained the charge in this base unit in less than a day!Making this completely and utterly useless!I would have thought even if the echo dot is not used for anything at all, that we would get at least a few days to a week of standby time, but less than 24h is terrible!On top of that, the charging time on this is ridiculous, it takes just as long to charge it as it does for it to discharge without even using it, it takes hours to charge it, for such a tiny amount of output!This has to be one of the worst battery backup devices ever made, it's almost as if its using battery technology from 20 years ago!But we're stuck with this thing now as too much time went past before we first used it so can't return it, so it's just become an expensive stand for the echo dot!

Great for moving my echo around doesn’t hold charge over night in my experience but it is still very good
