Battery Base for Echo Dot (5th generation), Made for Amazon White

IWith out being prompted, I just had to write a review for this Amazon Echo base to help others sort a problem I've had for a long time. I already own an Echo device, but I wanted music/radio in the bathroom where there is no power socket. For a long time I've struggled with other brands of Alexa enabled portable speakers. I want to be able to just say Alexa play ..... first thing in the morning when going for a shower without going into an app. Then I discovered almost by accident, that this Alexa battery stand does exactly what I need. Just unplug and go, then pop the connector back when finished. It makes the Echo device completely portable. As the Echo has a temperature sensor, I can take it to the greenhouse to ensure the tomatoes are not too hot or even outside in the garden when having a BBQ. It's important to know it works on the house Wi-fi, so can't be taken out of range. Instructions state battery lasts 5 hours although I've not used on just battery power for that long. It's been fine for my needs. When not using the battery, it just sits in the cradle charging with clever technology stopping it from over charging. If your Echo is already set up, then this simply plugs in. I was moments away from buying a different brand speaker when I found this stand.

Great item but does not have a on or off button. So its constantly on, even when echo dot is not on - waste of charge

Never had an Alexa becore so still getting used to it, but I like that with the battery base you can u olug it and take it around the house with you (eg when I am getting ready in the morning it comes to the bathroom, bedroom and then where I put on makeup!

This battery base looks good and is simple to set up. However, the battery life is extremely short. It also seems that there is no off switch for the base. This means that if you use the base for half an hour and then switch the Alexa off, the battery base continues to run down its battery. This means that every time you go back to use it, the battery is dead. I was hoping for a base that I could leave in my bathroom for a few days at a time before having to recharge, but it isn’t fit for that purpose.

Very stable with a non slippy base, the Amazon dot fits into it like a glove , the cable between base and dot perfect fit, unit with dot has a solid feel about it, I use it in the bathroom while showering and shaving (it's not in the shower)

Bought my Mission Battery Base for Echo Dot (5th gen) in November 2023 and was very happy with how the battery stand worked and the unit's performance away from a charger. For the past year though the charger connection has become loose and charging has become something of a lottery. Usually, within a few minutes the connection fails. Tried another Amazon Echo charger and the same thing happens. I've emailed Mission about the issue and we'll see how they can help. Update 6 August 2025 - Received this today: Thank you for contacting Mission Accessories! We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your product. This battery base has a one year warranty. However, it seems you are beyond this time if you purchased it in November of 2023. Therefore, we are unable to provide you with a warranty replacement. We apologize for the inconvenience. Best regards, Mission Accessories Customer Support We make your favorite devices better. Interesting post script to Mission's email. Given their warranty period, it seems to be the case that Mission makes devices that they expect will last for a year. Buyer beware. Three stars down to the minimum one I'm afraid.

First impression out of the box is this is a quality product seems well built . Don’t lose the the small attachment you’ll need this to ensure you echo is connected to the battery base . Can’t comment on the claimed battery life yet but early indications it works as as intended without a hitch . Definitely recommend this at the moment but hoping it remains robust .

Hace su función para escucharlo por donde vayas de la casa, pero para sacar provecho...hay que desconectarlo muy amenudo...la clavija falla... inconveniente para su función de carga...se apaga todo 🤦🤦🤦creo que ya hay otro sistema más novedoso, probaré el sistema nuevo a ver que tal.

The perfect accessory for the echo dot. If you loose power (as sometimes happens in a storm) this little puppy keeps the Evho going. Yay!
