Do you apply this to ends or just roots?

Here's my routine. I went my hair with warm water, pump 4 times into my palm, then rub my hands together until the pretreatment is spread across my hands. I massage what's on the tip of my fingers into my scalp, then the rest to the main shafts and ends of my hair. Then let it sit for 10 before I hop in the shower to rinse. I apply before washing my hair once a week, then every other day without shampoo or conditioner. The pretreatment does a great job of keeping my hair moisturized without feeling greasy.
