Easy to do Measure and mark when fitting, good quality materials

Never fitted a ball catch before however it wasn't that much different from fitting a normal latch. Needs a 21mm or 22mm auger or flat bit to sink in barrel. Needed adjustment, roller has a slot in it to insert a flat screwdriver, push roller right into barrel and rotate one way or other depending on adjustment required. Comes with screws and catch plate to flush into door frame. Decent quality catch.

Turn the ball bit through 90 degrees and the working length changes! Being male and stubborn, it took me ages to discover this! My late wife was not there to "ADVISE" me as she was in Heaven! A really simple device that works!

Low quality but still does the job. Noisy because being low quality, the finish isn't top and the bolt moves back and forth ever so slightly but enough to make this horrible loud ("clack" ) noise every time you close the door. Not when you open it (it makes a "cling* when you do). Tried to muffle the noise (which I manged to a certain extent) but the only way to stop that" clack"noise is to prevent the low quality bolt from moving back and forth by introducing a small piece of whatever you can find/use (in my case a bit of wood), but because in comes in and out, it pushes the bit out and by doing so the bolt becomes loose again and able to go back and forth and the noise is coming back then. The best would be to be able to fix the little bit you add into the bolt so it doesn't come out (bolt goes in and out as open/close the door, thus pushing the bit out eventually). I guess you get what you pay for. Appart for that, it does what it's supposed to do.

Installed in minutes to replace a similar item that was past its best. Cheap, simple and easy to adjust using a flat blade screwdriver. Time will tell if it lasts - but it's doing well so far!

The quality of this roller ball adjustable door catch isn’t great. The spring mechanism feels quite flimsy, and adjusting it during installation was more difficult than expected. But when adjusting the length to fit by pushing them in to turn, they became stuck and wouldn’t come back out. The plastic on the roller also feels quite cheap and deforms easily whilst adjusting the length, even when using plastic tools. I managed to get one of the catches to pop back out and start working, but the other ended up completely jammed and unusable. It might work for light use or if you do not need to adjust the length but overall it feels a bit fragile.
