Q: In the amendment sheet it states attach the black battery clip to the vehicle chassis away from the battery and fuel line. is this right?

Appears to be standard from manufacturers (I have a Honda) to not attach both clips to battery terminals but the earth one to the chassis. Note: I only used my Ring charger three times between 2011 and 2015 when it failed to work this year. I queried my rights with Trading Standards and they said I had owned it too long to complain despite only using it three times in 4 years! I have not replaced it.

Q: Wat size fuse for inside my ring charger. It keeps blowing the fuse.

The max size plug top fuse is 13 amp. If the charger is blowing this size fuse then the unit has a problem and should be repaired or replaced. 10 Amp should be proficient.

Before plugging in machine, attach red wire to red terminal on battery followed by black wire to black terminal on battery then plug in and switch on. Easy to follow instructions on machine casing, works every time for me and charges very quickly. Hope this helps.

Q: How long does this unit hold its own charge before it is used or does it need to be plugged in when in use

Plugged in at all times it’s not a starter pack of any kind. Plug in whilst charging like most battery charging units as it consumes a lot of electricity.
