I have always used Littmann stethoscopes and this paediatric model is excellent. I am a simple GP working in an urban practice and have no need foe specialist neonatal or cardiologist stethoscopes, but trying to listen to a baby's or small child's chest with a standard stethoscope has always struck me as an exercise in frustration. This paediatric stethoscope allows me to sort out whether what I am auscultating is right base, left base or one of the other zones. The colour is funky and the "rainbow" effect is a nice, albeit gimmicky touch. My last paeds stethoscope lasted me 22 years, I hope this one take me through to retirement.

Bought this for my husband, he's a veterinarian, uses the smaller stethoscope for cats and puppies and kittens. His other one broke after many years of use. Was just as easy to get it on Amazon. Highly recommend.

1. Contexte d’achat : remplacement d’un ancien stéthoscope Littmann perdu, qui m’avait duré presque 8 ans. Depuis combien de temps je l’utilise : 1 an. Fréquence d’utilisation : quotidienne, jour et nuit pour un usage médical en pédiatrie. 2. Première impression (déballage, livraison, packaging) Livraison : dans les temps, sans souci. Emballage : en très bon état, packaging soigné (dans la continuité de la marque). Contenu de la boîte : complet, rien ne manquait. 3. Points forts : - acoustique excellente en pédiatrie (à condition de l'entretenir) - fiabilité : même avec un usage quotidien intensif et pas toujours “tendre” (stétho autour du cou, manipulations fréquentes et entortillé x fois par jour), tout reste bien en place (embouts, membrane). - bonne tenue dans le temps : pas d’usure particulière, tube suffisamment souple et pas de fissure (à condition d’un entretien normal). 4. Points faibles / limites : - taille limitée sur des gabarits plus grands : si vous examinez souvent des adolescents, le pavillon est petit donc avoir la version "Adulte" en plus 5. Comparaison Comparé à mon ancien Littmann (8 ans d’utilisation avant de le perdre), je retrouve la même qualité et le même confort : c’est du “Littmann”, constant et rassurant. 6. Rapport qualité/prix À ce prix, je trouve que c’est justifié vu la fiabilité et la durée de vie. Je paierais à nouveau ce prix ? Oui, je reprendrais le même modèle si je devais le remplacer 7. Pour qui je recommande ce produit (et pour qui non) ✅ Je recommande pour : pratique pédiatrique (nourrisson/enfant) avec usage quotidien et professionnels qui veulent un stéthoscope fiable et durable ❌ Je ne recommande pas pour : – examen principalement d’adolescents/adultes (pavillon potentiellement trop petit) – budgets très serrés (même si l’investissement est rentable dans le temps) 9. Verdict final En résumé, ce Littmann pédiatrique est un excellent choix pour la pédiatrie : acoustique fiable, confort, et très bonne tenue dans le temps. Le seul vrai “bémol” est qu’il peut être un peu petit dès qu’on ausculte souvent des adolescents. Je lui mets 5/5 parce qu’en usage pédiatrique quotidien, il fait exactement ce qu’on en attend.
