Essentials Fashion Sketchbook (360 Figure Templates to create your designs!): A Designer's Companion

I bought this sketchbook for my daughter as a way to help her unwind during her GCSE study period, and it was a great choice. She’s had a lot of fun with it — the layout is very user-friendly, and there are plenty of pages to experiment with. Pros: Loads of figure templates (360!) to sketch on — no pressure to draw bodies from scratch Encourages creativity and design thinking Great for stress relief and screen-free downtime Good quality paper that holds up to pens and colouring Cons: None really — it's exactly what it says it is, and well worth the price It gave her a creative outlet during a stressful time, and she’s already filled quite a few pages. Would definitely recommend for teens who enjoy fashion or design.

Bought for a 6 year old who loves drawing and fashion design. She could not be happier and treats it like a precious object. Every page has two model figures outlined in blue and a space for writing notes. She uses them to draw characters wearing inventive fashion creations and then she writes their names and superpowers, hobbies or jobs etc underneath. It would be great if there was some diversity of body shape, if there were more editions for e.g. pre-teens, teenagers, and more average shaped adult women, I'd probably end up buying them all. The exterior looks like a good quality hardback black A5 diary, there is also an elastic to keep pages secure and a ribbon bookmark, and some pages for hair/makeup/hat and shoe designs at the back. There could be more of these to be honest, she has used them already with lots of the regular pages still left over. A layout that grouped a couple of pages of full size models followed by a couple of pages of heads and feet would be an ideal combination so they could be used for close ups on the details of the main outfits/costumes. But as it is this book is still very loved and a great present for anyone of any age into designing female characters and/or fashion.

I wish I'd known about this years ago! One of my favourite pastimes is doodling clothes. I have so many ideas that I like to get down on paper quickly. This little book takes the guesswork out of proportion. There are fine blue figures in a lovely variety of poses. These don't transfer if photocopied so that the final sketch is only visible. I use a black pen and jot down as many ideas as possible. I'm not using it to work on a collection, more as a memoir. It could easily be used to put together a collection and the pages are easily removed. The variety of poses suggest different ideas and details. There are also a few lines at the bottom of each page to write down details, material ideas etc. At the back there are feet and head images to use for accessories. The paper is quite thick and my pen has not bleed through the pages. I am so happy with this book. It has thick, quality paper with elastic to hold it closed.

Bought for my 15 year old Granddaughter as a boost to her 'Textile and Design' lessons, who pronounces it 'awesome'. Neat, good quality A5 size with place ribbon and elastic securing band which found great favour and an extensive range of figure templates with space for notes underneath. Can apparently be flung into her homework bag and not take up any room and has 'huge brag value'. When she copies her designs, the outlines of the templates are not visible on the copy which again, she is finding very useful. Only one criticism. No male templates which is a pity and why only 4 stars.

Oh wow!!! Love it. I sketch all the time! Clear sketching over feint model poses, doesn't interfere with your designing.It helps you to sketch more in proportion with your ideas.Great price too. Good for me being a designer teacher, I sketch womens clothes, also shoes as I do both. So its an invaluable tool for me. I would 110% recommend this. Its neat looking.Easy to carry in your bag too. Well,... I just had to add this on that I have had about six of these sketch books in total they are really worth the value and price! Just to add on I've had about 5 of these sketch books now!

It’s a lovely book to give as a gift. My daughter loves it. She has designed some lovely outfits. It’s a good book if someone is interested in starting to learn to draw it’s got helpful tips in it too.

I’m currently in year 9 but I decided to buy one to practice my drawings for college. It’s pretty good, i like it,the last page is a bit dirty but it’s ok because I work more on clothes,not on accessories and hats/shoes. Is worth buying, a good way to practice!

I would tell this book is worth buying for both adults and teens as the book is so good. It has a lot of templates and figures to sketch on. Recommend this for fashion designers or beginners.It comes with a holder at the back which is useful to keep pens and other supplies in it.

Tween loves this book. The first few pages are tutorials of clothing/hair etc and the rest of the pages have pre-sketched models. They are very light so you can trace them and add clothing and designs.
