Reliance Medical Large First Aid Universal Shears-pack of 5

These are excellent shears and the nurses are always using them. The pack of 5 is a great price but just watch out when they arrive. I was originally only sent one and had to contact the seller. To be fair, they sent the other four straight away.That doesn’t detract from the item itself, though, and they’re first class.

I discovered these scissors while on holiday in Spain and despite searching local supermarkets I couldn't find any. The reason being is that they are intended for medical use. However they are absolutely superb for use in the home, garden and garage. They will cut virtually anything within reason with their close fitting serrated blades. I was most impressed when I was faced with one of those almost indestructible blister packs containing an item that was fixed to the backing card with a zip-tie. The scissors made short work of the blister pack and then I placed the blade under the zip-tie with the intention of snipping it but before I closed the blades the serrated edge sliced through it effortlessly. They are extremely light weight and as they are intended for medical use where they would be sterilized in an autoclave they are dishwasher proof. I've just ordered eight more to share amongst family because for the price they are an absolute bargain.

OK so I have edited my review due to the sellers being awesome and sending a second set of shears out to me free of charge and no hassle. The new shears are much better quality and can slice through motorcycle leathers with ease and look like they will hold up well.It would seem though that the first pair where the rivet split is the main reason for the other low reviews so QC isn't that hot, but if you do receive a lemon just let the sellers know and they are quick and efficient at dispatching a new set.I have left the old review below for continuity.------------------------------------I was really happy when they first came as they looked quite decent for the price in terms of quality, but upon testing them on some denim the rivet spread and the shears were rendered useless.I will go with genuine Tuffcut brand shears like a lot of my colleagues, for the sake of an extra £5-8 its worth it.In my opinion to market these as 'First aid, Nurse, Paramedic, Emergency, EMT, etc.' is wrong, I am a student nurse and also volunteer with my local first responders and quite frankly these aren't up to the par for home textiles use never mind a medical setting.

5 pair for an excellent price. Sturdy and reliable at my work in the hospital.

Not as durable as the Maratac sheers, but if your not going to be using them every day they are fine. At this price you can afford to by multiple and stash them everywhere. I have these in my first aid kits and I also use them in the garage. They seem a little flimsy so I would recomend spending a little more for maratacs if your a paramedic etc.

Nice and sturdy pair of shears, and quite able to cut through thick material. I have tried on things like the packaging it came in and denim, and it cut through them with ease.You can rely on these in an emergency to cut through material clothing etc.They aren't just for emergency use, they can used as a good, strong pair of scissors for general use as well.Overall a great value item, especially with the free delivery, thank you to the merchant.

Remember these are for 1st Aid, designed pretty much for cutting through bandages, dressings and even clothes in an emergency situation. They do all of this very well.They are not designed for 'everyday' use so don't expect a beautiful neat cut through paper - these are a tool and a good one at that.

These. Scissors are great. They are sharp and cut through layers of bandages easily and quickly. I bought a pair for use in the kitchen and they cut through everything. Just what I needed and I would recommend.

Ciseaux vraiment petits, la photo ne le montre pas, mais ils ne sont pas à l'échelle de vrais ciseaux qu'on utilise à l’hôpital.C'est bien pour une petite trousse de soins, pour découper des bandages, etc. Mais vous ne découperez pas le blouson du motard avec sa fracture de l'humérus. Autre problème, alors qu'ils on l'air d'être en inox, ils rouillent très facilement à la moindre trace d'humidité. Méfiance si vous les laissez traîner au fond d'un trousse de toilette.

Trabajo en un hospital y compré estas tijeras para llevarlas en la indumentaria de trabajo, pero resultan demasiado grandes, tanto para llevarlas como para utilizarlas en el medio hospitalario. Cortan bien pero no resultan prácticas para lo que yo las quería.
