DR bass strings top quality
DR bass strings are simply the best out there in my opinion, if you’ve never used them just try them , well balanced tone , great feel and they last a lot longer than a lot of other brands .

Look amazing, sound amazing
These are just great strings. Given a musician only changes bass strings once a generation why not treat your instrument to a great look as well as a great sound.I’m getting a lot of brightness out of the mediums that I am looking forward to putting in the mix.

EXPENSIVE.
Okay, so they're amazing, and they have a big deep low sound because they're smooth, and yeah, they'll last for ages, and yeah, when these do finally give out, I'll DEFINITELY buy another set, but I hope that won't be for a while, because these are PRICEY!(Yes, worth it though)

Great for precision, sound awesome.
These strings are definitely good at certain things. They suck in moisture, meaning however sweaty you get they're dry. This is great for precision, really great. They sound really good too. Having said that they don't work so well for other things, slides are harder, drawing your finger from one string to the one below doesn't work very well either, so if you like to play sloppy it doesn't work so well.Having said that the pros outweigh the cons, and I'm not itching to change tham, but bear in mind they do affect your playing style.

1st time user of Black Beauties
Having tried coated strings before i was never a fan. They didn't sound as sharp, tension was higher but the deciding factor was always the longevity of coated strings. Recently tried D'addario XT's and they were good but only lasted 2-3mths. Decided on trying the Black Beauties and WOW, simpl WOW. They sound exactly same as my D'addario EXL's do and the tension is pretty much same and they feel absolutely amazing. I love the feel and tone of these and provided they last longer than normal strings then i will be a regular user. Had to wait just over a week for delivery from US but they arrived in perfect condition and at £30 a set incl delivery they are great value for money. Test of time will see how they last over a few hot and sweaty gigs at Xmas. I do play fingerstyle and i play quite hard and sweat a lot. I have killed EXL's in 2 gigs. At the moment i'm so pleased with the Black Beauties.

Wow great strings
I was looking for tapewound to replace my old flatwounds on my 75 fender and I came across these . I needed a replacement quick has I had a gig in 2 days timeI decided to give them a go!I got them the next day and fitted them straight away hopefully giving them time to settle in. The sound difference was immediately obvious even without the amp. I played them for a while tweeking the tuning and very quickly they stayed in tune. The gig the next evening I got to plug in and wow what a sound the other band members couldn't compliment them enough crisp clear and deepI love them and they will be my go to strings in the future

The best strings I’ve used
I use these strings mainly on a passive bass, although I have just upgraded the tone capsule on an active bass and that will get a set of these too.When you install them, they are very bright and you can shape a real grind into the tone. Which very much suits the punk and metal that I play. You can take that away with the tone pots, maybe just play with your thumb and get a real deep jazz sound. Naturally, picking at the neck gives you a great sound.I used to buy DR flatwounds for my BEAD bass. I’m not too sure if I’ll go back to flats as these share similar traits, eg with the coating, they are pretty smoothGreat strings for great price.I would prefer a 130 string for the B.

DR Black Beauties - my go to string for last 4-5 years

Beautiful Strings, sound great
These strings arrived quick and I immediately I setup on my bass. Very nice finger feel and they really look great. Time will tell how long the coating lasts, but it seems to hold up fine. They sound bright and are good on my fingers as I haven't played bass in years and am getting back into playing (you will hear me on the radio soon).
