Review: Actually got my Son reading for pleasure!! - Oh my goodness, if I could give this more than 5 stars I would! My son asked for this a while back but I (wrongly) assumed it would be the usual tosh written by a celebrity trying to cash in on their fame. Anyway, my son (7 years old) wanted to be Dan TDM for world book day next week so asked again for the book and so I thought ok then, but felt a little begrudging about spending £8 when we already have so many books in the house that he could choose from. It arrived at about 10am this morning and my son then spent the next 4 hrs, completely unprompted, reading this from cover to cover! This never happens!! While my son is a capable reader he would never choose to read and it's a battle each evening to get him to read just a few pages of his school reading book. This is the first book he has read just for the pleasure of reading. Thank you Dan so much for writing it. It was the best £8 I have ever spent. He's told me all about the story with great enthusiasm. So although I haven't read it myself I can say that it comes highly recommended by a 7 year old boy. *** update: Fraser (FrazMozz) really wanted to send Dan TDM a picture he'd drawn and a letter but I can't find a fan-mail address so thought I'd post it on here.
