Does the backlight stay on during night time once the button is pressed, let's say? Or does it turn itself off after a few seconds?

Trick question. Mine DID only come on when I pressed the centre bulb button and DID go off again after 10 seconds (ish). However, NOW it is always blue and when I press the bulb button to attempt to turn the backlight off - it makes it brighter! The light is ON all the time. I've tried to contact the seller about this issue but they never replied or tried to fix the problem.

Is the screen permanently on and displaying information or do you need to press a button to wake it up?

It's permanently on in a dark mode (ie no backlight, but you can read the figures clearly in daylight.) Backlight is provided for a short period when you press a button. It's a nicely made item and does the job well.

Is it suitable for outdoor use ?

I guess so, if it not exposed to rain, i have used it on my balcony, the unit is not IP rated though so be careful not to get water or direct sunlight on it. This company makes a unit that has an outdoor sensor you can buy that instead and have both indoor and outdoor temprature and humidity readings...

Can you look back through records and see what the temperature was at 2 am, 4 am etc the night before?
