Excellent toy you can fill with treats. Keeps our dog relaxed & entertained for long periods. Not cheapest but well made and long lasting.

I now have 3 of these! Keeps our Maltipoo engaged, chewing, throwing it up to bounce. I also stuff them with cottage cheese, yoghurt and doggie peanut butter, mixing in banana, blueberries, strawberries or carrot, sometimes freezing them first! She absolutely loves them 😊👍

I have not given a rating for durability as my dachshunds have only had these for two days, time will tell as they can destroy most things! I don’t know why it has taken me so long to buy them these kongs, given one of them especially is food orientated and begs for anything and everything. So, these make her work for the piece of cheese she gets when I make a sandwich. I put a small piece in each one, large enough though so it doesn’t just fall out and off they trot with them. They then spend a long time getting that cheese out. It’s genius and much better than the treat dispensers I have already to try and stimulate them, which they quickly worked out how to get into so treats were obtained from them in under a minute, so I’d stopped using them. I think dogs work out their own ways of getting things out of these. My female is currently throwing hers in the air onto the floor in the hope it will break up what is inside, they also lick in the dispensing hole to make the things inside soggy to make them easier to slip out to eat. You can fill these with lots of things, so vegetables, etc and I like the idea that in the summer I could put things in and then put them in the freezer, especially if we get another summer like this years heat. I also have the kong paste to go in them, but don’t use it each time as it isn’t cheap and kong biscuits. The biscuits fit in well and they do have to try hard to get them out so one biscuit lasts a long time and it is keeping them occupied for extended periods but it is only one biscuit, so not to many in a day to pile on the pounds. I have also bought the medium version of these to mix it up a bit for them. Easy to clean, for inside I use an old toothbrush to get anything remaining out. I don’t know if you could dishwasher them, don’t want to run the risk of ruining them. Definitely a worthwhile investment. In the photo, the purple thing next to the kong is a make up spatula. I ordered them so that when I put paste or pate in the kongs, rather than have to spread it round inside of kong with my finger (as the pastes are disgusting to me, the human,) I use one of these spatulas and then chuck it in the dishwasher once done. It was a pack of 5 at under a fiver and it is meaning a little paste can go a long way.

Durable and my dog loves it.

My dog loves her Kong. She's a miniature poodle. I bought the med/large and it's a bit too big so I bought her a small and it's perfect. She has lots of fun chasing it around especially when it's stuffed with treats.

This is way smaller than I had imagined. I have a small dog 6kg. He demolished the frozen pate in this in under 5 minutes. I bought another medium puppy one to use. At least it takes him a while to get it out. Albeit he can't quite reach the very end. I.just make sure I don't pack it down right to the end. If you a truly teeny little dog, or don't mind them finishing it extremely quickly then I would advise buying a puppy one. Especially if you're using it to help settle them in a crate while you go out. It is also a nightmare to clean out. My finger covered by the dish cloth struggles to fit in.

Finally got a toy that my dog can not destroy in 5 minutes..the Kong is well made,and the design is good that you can add treats inside ,It arrived well packaged and fast thankyou,,I bought the size xxl red classic..also I washed it before I gave it to my dog,,as it has a rubbery smell.also the size is big,,but for my dog the size is perfect.

Geniales Spielzeug! Mein Hund liebt es und kann sich über Stunden damit beschäftigen. Er bringt den Kong mittlerweile auf Kommando, die Goodies kommen ganz unten rein, er wird immer geschickter und der Zahnstein wird weniger. Von mir gibt es eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!

El juguete es sencillo, no tiene ningún tipo de mecanismo o complicación en su interior, solo un hueco que lo atraviesa de extremo a extremo. En ese hueco es donde se pueden colocar comidas elaboradas, trozos de comida, snacks, bolas de pienso, pastas, cremas, yogur... para tener al perro entretenido intentando sacarlos y comiendo. ◾ ¿Qué introducir? Usos Como no hay ningún mecanismo de retención especial si se meten fragmentos pequeños y secos se saldrán con facilidad en cuanto el juguete se mueva un poco. Esto puede ser interesante al principio, así el perro aprende con facilidad que moviendo y empujando el artefacto es como se va obteniendo la comida. Pero cuando aprende esto se le puede poner más difícil para que esté más tiempo entretenido y concentrado en su tarea de ir sacando la comida y ello metiendo trozos algo más grandes, que salgan con más dificultad, o mezclar los trozos pequeños secos con algún material (agua, yogur, queso en crema, alguna pasta o sustancia cremosa...) que los haga mantenerse algo más pegados entre sí, menos sueltos y que así sea un poco más difícil que salgan del interior. También puede rellenarse completamente con una pasta pero en este caso no entiendo bien como el perro puede llegar a consumir lo de dentro del todo (es imposible que llegue allí con la lengua). Esta utilidad como juguete en el que el perro tiene que trastear para sacar alimento se complementa con la más sencilla de juguete que rueda y bota y que el perro persigue y captura, y también con la de objeto para morder. En realidad los tres usos se ejercen casi al mismo tiempo. El agujero pequeño puede usarse para empujar o limpiar un poco el alimento con algún objeto delgado desde ese extremo o para enganchar de él un cordón y hacer así al juguete más versátil (puedes cogerlo del cordón mientras el perro muerde el cuerpo de goma, o lanzarlo con más energía...). ◾ Durezas y tamaños En cuanto a lo de morder hay varias durezas de material que están codificadas por color. Las texturas más blandas, para cachorros, son las de color rosa y celeste, luego un poco menos suave pero aún relativamente blando está el color morado (indicado para perros de mucha edad), sigue el rojo (es el caso del artículo que comento) y finalmente el negro es el más duro. Los perros de dientes fuertes y bien mordedores romperán pronto las texturas más blandas así que para ellos habrá que elegir los colores rojo o negro. Los tamaños son varios, también para adecuarlos al perro en concreto: extrapequeño (XS) para perros de hasta 2 kg, pequeño (S) para perros hasta 9 kg, mediano (M) hasta 7-16 kg, grande (L) hasta 13-30 kg -que es este que comento-, extra grande (XL) 27-41 kg y supergrande (XXL) para más de 38 kg. Las dimensiones de este tamaño Grande son: - Longitud, 10.4 cm - Diámetro máximo, 7 cm - Diámetro del agujero pequeño, 1.1 cm - Diámetro del agujero grande, 2.7 cm ◾ Comentarios de uso - Encuentro que está hecho con una goma bastante gruesa y no le veo defectos evidentes (excepto quizá el estético de una rebaba en la "bola grande"). Al no tener forma esférica tiene un movimiento algo errático cuando lo lanzas o cuando el perro lo mueve, lo cual lo hace, creo yo, más interesante para el animal. - Con los días el perro se va haciendo más experto y pasa de la torpeza inicial de no saber manejarlo bien a empujarlo para hacerlo rodar (la forma fácil de hacer que el alimento salga sobre todo si es alimento suelto, no "pegajoso") o sujetarlo con la pata mientras trabaja con la boca para extraer lo que está a su alcance, y solo un poco más adelante empieza a saber "voltearlo" -rodarlo en vertical- que es todavía más efectivo para que los fragmentos se escapen o se acerquen al agujero externo. Ahora lo hace mejor aún ya que eleva un poco al juguete cogiéndolo con la boca y lo deja caer al suelo de forma que con los botes que da está casi asegurado que cualquier comida que haya en el interior y que pueda caber por el agujero va a salir. Esta pieza en concreto la he adquirido para regalarla visto el buen resultado que le ha dado al pequeño que tengo en casa y para el que previamente he comprado uno para cachorros y de menor tamaño. - Aunque los tamaños están relacionados con el peso del perro, si se va a utilizar para que coma es mejor adquirirlo más grande de lo que se recomienda ya que así habrá espacio interior para una cierta cantidad de alimento que no obligue a realizar más de un par de rellenos para una comida. Otra alternativa es tener varios de estos juguetes de menor tamaño (el tamaño que corresponde al perro) y así rellenarlos todos de una vez sin estar pendientes de volver a meter comida en un único juguete conforme el perro vaya acabándola. - Comparando este modelo rojo con uno para cachorros (azul o rosa, de textura más blanda) me llama la atención el que sean bastante similares en cuanto a dureza o resistencia aparente, se supone que este debería ser claramente más duro. Es duro, pero el de cachorros también lo es. ◾ Conclusión Aunque el precio final de este artículo en este momento en que escribo (10 euros) no me parece demasiado económico para una pieza tan simple de goma sí creo que tiene calidad suficiente y que procurará buenos ratos de entretenimiento al perro para el que se ha adquirido, por eso dejo una buena calificación.
