These bulbs are also slightly larger than the halogens they are replacing. I think this is a difference between MR16 (taller) and GU5.3 (shorter, slightly smaller in diameter). Consequently, these don't fit some of the fittings where we'd like to use them.After purchasing these, I bought some GU5.3 bulbs and these exactly match the size of the bulbs being replaced.If you have older voltage transformers, LED bulbs can flicker and buzz. A replacement transformer isn't too expensive though.

Although almost identical to the standard fit these light bulbs are slightly larger on the plastic meaning they will not fit the older squeeze ring fit ceiling bulb holders,

Positives:Arrived on time and well packaged. The light is a described in terms of beam and warmth.BUT:This is not plug and play as described for 2 reasons. As other reviews comment (I should have read these):1) these lights are slightly bigger than standard halogen MR16 bulbs. Most fittings will be able to fit these at a squeeze, but expect to scratch them or have to force them in. Presumably some fitting simply won’t.2) After squeezing them in, these lights flickered. It transpires that the transformers we had that worked perfectly for the 50 halogens don’t work with these hence the flicker. An easy fix ie by replacing the transformers, but again not plug and play as advertised - be prepared to replace the transformers.

After recommendation from my friend I have tried cool white, and has change view on my hallway, dining room and hall.Really great feel of white light , also get positiveness in atmosphere.Don’t forget this is LED, normal halogen is 50w while this is only 6 WWarm yellow was giving me headache and feel tired, boring .But after having this cool white just change everything. Very bright and very good .I m going to change all my other rooms and bathrooms, kitchen to white nowFeel refreshing.

LED lamps have certainly rapidly and substantially improved over the past few years, the days of the incandescentLED lamp technology has vastly improved over the past few years making the far more desirable to the old incandescent bulb that has stood the test of time until now. LED lamps are here and here to stay offering many advantages to the consumer they offer comparable light output and quality, their life extends into thousands of hours rather than hundreds and consume a fraction of the power of incandescent lamp, they produce substantially less heat. Manufacturing costs have come down greatly over the years making them a very cost effective replacement making them cheaper to run, replacement frequency greatly reduced and our way of contributing to the carbon footprint.Between my kitchen and bathroom I have ten halogen spot lamps at 35 watts each giving a total of 350 watts. I have replaced them them all with 10 5 watt LED lamps giving me more light output than the halogen lamps using a total usage of 50 watts that is a huge saving.The Bomcosy LED Lamps are the same size and shape and fit into the standard lamp fitting. The light is instant no warming up period as with the low wattage fluorescent energy saving lamps, I would go as far to say that the light output is the same if not slightly better, more light output with reduced heat and running cost, almost sounds to good to be true. To anyone contemplating switching from Halogen spots to LED Spots, don't hesitate order replacement lamps for you down-lighters, regardless of whether they need replacing, you will still be financially better off. I would certainly recommend these lamps and purchase them again when needed in years to comebomcosy

Only one bulb doesn’t flicker at all, tried them all in all our spots and literally only one doesn’t flicker. Luckily it’s summer so we barely have the bathroom light on, but they’re going to need replacing before winter.The seller asked me to review the item, so I told them they were flickering. I was asked to ‘prove’ this by taking a picture. No idea how a picture would show a light flicker, maybe a video would work... either way, it seemed like they don’t believe you.Save your money and get a reputable brand. But cheap, but twice in this case.

Avoid this seller. Really disappointed when installed in the same room on the same circuit 2 bulbs didnt work and one flickered. When I contacted supplier they were dismissive but finally agreed it was their fault. Said they'd send replacement but never did even after I contacted them again. Still waiting Nina.....

My local supplier advised me that the best thing to do with 12v systems is to convert them to mains. I've done that a couple of times but it is not so easy when the transformer is somewhere in the ceiling void. these are as bright as the mains ones and a quick, simple replacement. They look neat too.
