Great Tyres.
So far I have done just under 300 miles on these tyres on my Moulton APB. Blown to 80lb. they roll superbly - and make a nice noise ! On smooth Tarmac they are superb, with low rolling resistance. I have also ridden on cart tracks, and sharp quarry dust cycle tracks, and no cuts on the tyres, and dare I say it, no punctures.

Great Tyres
I have ridden these through all seasons for the last 3 years on my 3 mile commute (each way).As long as you keep them to required PSI, they are fantastic. The rear lasted less time than the front and the front finally wore out recently. Unfortunately I found out it was worn when I started to slide on the front in the wet!! On replacing with a fresh tyre, I have had no further incidents, but without tread, there is no telling how far 'gone' the tyre is (Hence only 4 star).Even in the snow, they aren't too bad although tread might have been nice at this time.I think the mileage I got out of them has been great.I will be buying these again. And again.

A Good Tyiar
A Very Good itemI use them on my sprint Trike, they come as standard on the trike,They roll and handle extremely well and the puncher guard works well.

Weak sidewall
I bought these almost a year ago. I made roughly 300 miles on these. They are very rigid and the side wall is thin. Eventually it gave way in two places but it did not blow up at least. I had a lot of punctures with them also. The contact surface is too rigid and anything sharp makes large cuts into it.They look great on your bike but my so call cheap, original tyres, Chinese, have done 600 miles and are still going strong.

Just for the name, its great, says what it is on the tin!! (Bald and grippy!)
Hard tyre, great name on side wall and rock solid. Riding on Kojaks head, who would have thought it, ride em Danno !

Special Tire for Special uses
I ride a recumbent trike. In my mind, you can chose from two types of tires for your bike/trike/velo - Either a good all around tire, that is very good at most everything, but is not the best at anything. OR, you can get a special tire that is the best at one or two areas, and perhaps a bit weak in a few other areas. Both schools of thought have merit. The Schwalbe Kojak is one of the later tires. It is light in weight, rather narrow in profile, and very fast~! It is *not* the best at protecting against flats, nor is it that great on non-paved surfaces like limestone, gravel, dirt, etc.I love and have used the Schwalbe Big Apple tire (20X2.00) for about 1600 miles and completely love it, PERIOD! It *IS* great for smoothing out the bumps, for pavement, and non-pavement, and is probably in the top 3 or 4 for flat protection too. But the BA is not a fast tire for pavement! That's why I bought a set of these puppies! A set of three of these (20X1.35), with tubes, cut right at 4lbs off the weight of my trike, and not just weight, but rotational, spinning weight. Right away I can tell that I can get up to speed much faster than with the BAs.Plus, on smooth pavement, my average speed has increased 1.3 to 1.5mph - simply by doing a tire change.I do plan to get another set of BAs, as much of my riding is on a limestone MUP. But since swapping tires is easy (these mount tool-free on my wheels), any time I plan to do any long pavement rides, I'll throw these on.The performance change is worth both the hassle and cost, I am well-pleased, and will buy these again!

Excellent Tires
I was looking for lightweight and durable tires for my recumbent when I bought the Schwalbe Kojak. I ride mostly country roads and I found these tires comfortable and long-lasting. I have over 3500 miles on them now and have not had a flat, which I think is a record for me. I was concerned about not having a tread but i find these tires grip well in both wet and dry. Great road/trail tires. Highly recommend.
