Hardcopy dnd books aren't necessary anymore, but I really like having them. The book is really well presented and is of a solid quality. I love the artwork in the books. The story itself is good, but I wouldn't recommend it for a first time DM due to the slight sandbox nature of the structure and loose framework...the book as written really does give you a lot of artistic license for the story. The maps you get in the book are sub-par, and I would recommend finding player made ones online instead of trying to use them.

Travelling around the forgotten realms really helped myself transfer the world into my homebrew

As for speed in delivery, great! Everything else? Honestly terrible. The item was sliced, dented, smudged, scratched & for some reason, had food stuck to it! I was able to get a refund, thought it was a one time thing, ordered a new one and boom, same thing again. Crumbs, scratches and defaced image. A sticker on the back that was kindly stuck on said new, but didn’t quite come across that way. Maybe you will have better luck! But for me, better to not get stung again. I mean food… what’s that about?

As an early product in fifth edition D&D, this does need some DM-focused prep in order to run effectively in 2023. However that being said, this would be great for inexperienced players with an experienced DM to run. If you enjoy tweaking stories and adding your own flair, this is an ideal product for you. As a stand-alone, run-from-the-book adventure, it sits in the middle.

As I own both the original books that this one was amalgamated from, I felt disappointed with the content and layout. I couldn’t find any real improvement and felt a bit let down. I knew that this was a reprint but if you have bought both Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Rise of Tiamat, I wouldn’t bother.

Claims to be new but is clearly secondhand. Previous review was blocked due to another comment which you can probably guess...

This is a great book. So many D&D 5e are, but this one is up there with the greats. Great presentation, wonderful illustrations, and so much information that even the most committed enthusiasts will be occupied for a long, long time. Did I mention it's got dragons in it..? I'm happy to recommend this one, it's truly amazing.

Dit boek bundelt Hoard of the Dragon Queen en Rise of Tiamat (de eerste 2 avonturen voor 5e), maar omdat die uitkwamen voor de Monster Manual, zijn ze niet zo goed gebalanceerd voor beginnende spelers (lees: Het begin is veel te moeilijk voor level 1 spelers). Dit hadden ze bij Wizards of the Coast best kunnen bijwerken voor de re-release. Als DM dien je dit recht te trekken, of anders eindig je vrij snel met een Total Party Kill. En dat kan beginnende spelers ontmoedigen om dit prachtige spel verder te spelen. Voor de rest is dit een prachtig boek met geweldige artwork en een memorabele BBEG. Wat het resuktaat van 3 sterren optrekt naar 4. Dus zeker het aankopen waard.

Dos excelentes campañas en un mismo libro. Y trae muchos extras de imágenes e historia de cómo se hizo el libro.

Gran campaña. Yo la combino con la de Dragonlance para tener una campaña realmente epica
