All the Tunes You've Ever Wanted to Play | Piano Classics Collection | Easy Piano Sheet Music Songbook with Nearly 300 Timeless Melodies from Beethoven to Sullivan | For Students and Adults Alike : Carol Barratt: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: A brilliant place for a returning pianist to start! - Do not be put off by the rather negative reviews of the second and third volumes in this series. I have purchased all three volumes and they are all equally brilliant. The format is not A5 size (as some reviews indicate) but is smaller than A4. The printed pages measure 10 inches by 6.75 inches (25cm by 17cm), so a double open page fits nicely on a keyboard music stand. The spiral binding means the pages open beautifully flat making use a pleasure and page turning very easy. I do not understand the comments about small and faint printing - all three books are well-presented and the music is easy to read. The music itself is a delight. The first volume (red) is almost entirely "classical" pieces whilst the second and third volumes (blue and green) provide a wonderfully varied mixture of classics, pop and show tunes, including some excellent film themes. All are arranged specially for piano, and are easy enough to make you want to play them, and challenging enough to make you want to play them well! There is no duplication at all between the three volumes. A brilliant place for a returning pianist to start! Review: Great collection - Love these books. Been trying to get the full collection. Great collection of music.

Good book to have by the piano but print very small
If you are looking for a piano book with lots and lots of pieces of music to keep next to the piano for those times when you fancy something different to play, then this would be an ideal book for you. There are lots of well known pieces, some less well known, and some completely random pieces, e.g. the can can. The pieces range in difficulty, some fairly easy ones which I would say anyone with basic piano skills (Grade 2/3) could play, going through to more difficult pieces. My only gripe with this book, is the print is so small, I find myself squinting quite a lot when first playing a piece trying to make out which ledger line a note is actually sat on. Other than that, a brilliant book to have on the shelf.

A combination of two books
This book is very poorly described on Amazon as, for anyone who has been buying the 'Tunes You Always Wanted to Play' series will be very disappointed to find that this book is a 100% combination of the first and second books (Tunes... and More Tunes...) in the series. The combination book is smaller than the original books and consequently the scores are smaller and slightly more difficult to read. It is also considerably 'fatter' that the original books so some people may find page turning a bit more frustrating. However, the upside is that this combined book costs pretty much the same as each of the two original books so if you want both books in one volume and are prepared for the scores to be printed on smaller paper (somewhere between A5 and A5) then save yourself some money (and space in your music storage). I fortunately bought my book from Amazon second hand cheaply so will pass on to my granddaughter!

A great purchase
I had no idea that there were more books inside this one; "More of all the tunes you wanted to play", There is wonderful variety in the arrangements and music chosen to suit most levels up to grade 5. Some of it is very easy, but so motivating when you play a tune you know well from your culture. Some are more challengig and provide excellent material for practice and development. The smaller than A4 ring binder format is great as you can turn pages easily. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Plenty to play for those whose eyesight has seen better days!
This is ideal for someone whose eyesight finds it difficult to read normal sheet music. Although the actual size of the scores are smaller than sheet music, putting my tablet or Kindle on the piano and playing from ths is easy. The choice of pieces is comprehensive and extensive. In due course after more use I might have suggestions or reservations to make, it's a great start. Thoroughly recommended for those whose eyesight is not so good as it used to be.

I was attracted by the great list of tunes and the tag line “Easy-to-play Arrangements”
I was attracted by the great list of tunes and the tag line “Easy-to-play Arrangements”, being the idiot I am I thought that tag line meant they have tunes for complete beginner plebs like myself. I was expecting maybe 6 to 8 notes in a 4 beat measure, the first song in the book has 14 - 20 notes! This book obviously isn’t for beginners, maybe a year or two under your belt before attempting this? P.S book really is a 5 star for the tunes!

Piano Fun
Very good for novice-intermediate player. 'All the Tunes' and 'Even More Tunes' in One book. Very Good Value. Lots of themes and pieces you will recognise. One slight criticism - the cover of the book is a little bigger than the actual pages behind it, which are not quite A4. However this is made up for by the fact that it is on a Ring Binder, so the pages turn easily and do not get ripped and stuck. Very good indeed - started playing straight away - couldn't stop!

We needed some music to play at a retirement/rest home. This book contains many simplified classics and well-known songs. The response from residents we played for was very good positive. We added a few flourishes where needed and people sang along with Greensleeves, Danny Boy, and Stranger in Paradise though words need to be obtained from a source.
