well, while this little pocket knife is a really good product, very small and very sharp but I am also disappointed. Now, why would I be disappointed? The blade was advertised to be the Japanese uber steel/iron alloy ZDP189 which is something like a Rolls Royce in the knife blades world and in reality it is a much more Toyota like also Japanese common steel alloy VG-10.Well, VG-10 appear also in the picture but in my naivety I thought is still the old version of the product with ZDP189 alloy.Sadly, it is NOT!What I am talking about?Sharpness or edge retention/resistance is translated in hardness of the blade material. The harder is the material, the better the edge retention.VG-10 has a Rockwell hardness of 58-60 which is not bad at all considering that majority of the pocket knifes have blades with hardness up to 58.ZDP-189 has a Rockwell hardness of 65-68 which is THE HIGHEST in this industry!Period. This pocket knife is great for what is intended: small, comfortable to wear, good for occasional use, usable on a key-ring.But the price doesn't reflect the decrease in quality of the blade material. It is a different class. Lower.I purchased this pocket knife because it used the advertised blade alloy ZDP-189 and it is not. This version/revision is not anymore what is in description. The description should be updated because it is misleading.
