Extremely well engineered, very well built. Lightweight and portable yet providing the most stable grip. I ordered a second pair for the business.

As a carpenter I fit a lot of doors and usually use a couple of stands to hold the door upright. These work much better and work with any size door. The spring mechanism is genius as you only have to lift the door to release it. If you fit a lot of doors buy it, you won't regret it.

Utterly brilliant bit of kit for holding a door securely whilst you make adjustments. Dropped a star because, frankly, the thick end of 50 quid is a bit steep for four bits of plastic - however robust - two sprung steel joiners and four screws.In all fairness it is well made and it can easily be adjusted for a variety of door thicknesses. And if truth be told it makes dealing with a door much easier than faffing about with clamps or workbenches. But, 50 quid is still a bunch. At 35 quid it would be a no brainer.Overall a superb way of holding a door in place and the convenience may well justify the cost. Just.

Upgrading the house needed a sturdy door holder as I was replacing locks in multiple locations on the doors; this invention has been the bedrock for holding the doors in a secure and rigged position throughout the upgrade process.
