Really liked it
This is a nice kit with quite a decent number of experiments to perform. The manual is not only comprehensive, it also explains the scientific details behind the "play" in an accessible language for 8 year olds. The foam tower experiment was particularly successful with the kids.As always, with this sort of scientific toy, it's not for every kid, but for those curious about "how the world works" this is a certain winner.

Good price
Bought this as a gift for my daughter, it was great with lots of ideas and experiments to try but you have to do grocery shop to get all the supplies you need as it only provide the dishes, cups ect. Had a rather disappointed child on Christmas Day when we couldn’t get the items required. Once we bought everything needed the day after she thoroughly enjoyed the set

Mathematical worth it.
Hear me out. The set itself contains nothing special bicarbonate soda & food colouring. In this box it had aGoggles25 page experimentLitmus paperEverything else can be largely recreated from using things in your home.Plastic cups, Capol syringes instead of pipettesYou can largely recreate most of it from things in your home. But I worked it out that purchasing the goggles and bits would come to just under a fiver. So I bought the set. When you see the content you will know for sure that is all you should be paying. It's very cheaply put together. This works as a starter kit to get you all need to start depending on how you see things. jjust Google home science experiments and use what you got at home and there are lots that require nothing fancy. Not even the Goggles.

Daughter and friend love this! Nice item.
My daughter and her friend (both 10) spent hours making goo at the weekend. My 4 year old joined in too (probably not advisable due to red and green dye going everywhere). This product is exactly as described and there are enough liquids (and mixtures to be made) in there to keep them busy for some time.

Needs work
The sets experiments are great. My little girl at 8 has a passion for science and I figured this was an excellent start, what the box doesn't say is it only provides the cups and bibs etc. There's no actual ingredient so before you open it make sure you have a well stocked kitchen cupboard.
