Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0

This item is perfect and works so well with the Carista. I have had one since the last 3 years until I lost my one and then bought it again. If you will be using Carista then I highly recommend this product!

For the cost - good. Worked to get battery health for Corsa-e. Basic information but all that is needed.

It's easy to install. It allows you to read fault codes and clear them. You have to clear the fault codes manually from the app. The Vgate doesn't automatically clear the code or the EML. I didn't read the details properly before purchasing it. I have a diagnostic reader which does everything the Vgate does so I didn't need to buy it. It is conveniently small so I can keep it plugged in rather than getting the diagnostic pad out.

This works well in my Peugeot e208 to read pretty much all the parameters you want from the car. It communicates via bluetooth to my phone. I have used it successfully with the Car Scanner app (for free) and also with ABRP (A Better Route Planner). With ABRP it reads battery data directly from the car to be able to use GPS to plan routes that include charging since the app knows what your battery charge level is along with other data like battery temperature, your speed, AC power use etc. (Note: you need to pay for premium sub in the ABRP app to use this feature with Car Play, but free otherwise). This adds a Tesla-like experience to navigating to unfamiliar long routes since all the planning is handled for you.

Allows me to see certain parameters on my car. I have set it up so that I see speed, instantaneous fuel consumption and when my car last performed a DPF regeneration. I have linked this to two phones and they read dramatically different for the instantaneous fuel consumption, one is virtually half to twice as economical as what the car shows the other is hardly half of what the car shows and is rather sluggish to respond unlike the other phone. This could just be an iPhone issue as the other phone is an old otherwise unused Android phone.

I have a Bmw i3s and wanted to connect an OBD2 dongle to A Better Route Planner to enable proper route planning. The connection to my phone through the Mi3 app seems reliable and it provides lots of interesting information about the battery and energy usage. I can't get it to directly interface with ABRP, but through their connection to MI3 it still works perfectly for my needs. My only critique would be that the speed of data transfer is not brilliant, it takes a while to load all the metrics, perhaps because of the older bluetooth version compared to more expensive options. Compatibility seems fine though, and it works for what I need it for.

Ho apprezzato che sia dichiarato compatibile sia con Android che con iOS, il che lo rende versatile se si hanno dispositivi di entrambi i sistemi operativi in famiglia. La promessa è quella di poter leggere codici di errore del motore, visualizzare dati in tempo reale come giri motore, temperatura del liquido di raffreddamento e molto altro, a seconda dell'app OBD2 che si utilizza. FACILITA' D'USO E CONFIGURAZIONE L'iCar Pro si presenta compatto e discreto. L'inserimento nella porta OBD2 dell'auto è stato semplice e non ha creato alcun ingombro. Per quanto riguarda la configurazione, devo dire che l'esperienza è stata leggermente diversa tra Android e iOS. Su Android, il pairing Bluetooth è stato rapido e senza intoppi. Ho scaricato un'app OBD2 dal Play Store (ne ho provate diverse, come Torque Pro e Car Scanner ELM OBD2) e la connessione con l'adattatore è avvenuta quasi istantaneamente. Su iOS, invece, ho riscontrato qualche difficoltà iniziale. Nonostante l'app (in questo caso, OBDeleven e EOBD Facile) riconoscesse l'adattatore, la connessione Bluetooth BLE ha richiesto un paio di tentativi e un po' di pazienza. Una volta connesso, però, ha funzionato in modo stabile. FUNZIONALITA' E PRESTAZIONI Una volta stabilita la connessione, l'iCar Pro ha fatto il suo lavoro in modo efficace. Ho potuto leggere i codici di errore memorizzati nella centralina della mia auto (un vecchio errore intermittente legato al sensore O2), resettarli e monitorare i parametri in tempo reale. La quantità di dati visualizzabili dipende molto dall'app utilizzata e dalle capacità della centralina della propria auto, ma in generale ho trovato le informazioni fornite utili e abbastanza precise. La velocità di aggiornamento dei dati in tempo reale è stata buona, senza ritardi evidenti. CONSUMO ENERGETICO E DURATA Un aspetto interessante di questo adattatore è la sua presunta basso consumo energetico. Ho lasciato l'adattatore inserito nell'auto per diversi giorni senza notare alcun impatto significativo sulla batteria. Questo è un bel vantaggio perché non ci si deve preoccupare di scollegarlo ogni volta. Tuttavia, è sempre buona norma verificare il manuale della propria auto per eventuali avvertenze sull'utilizzo prolungato di dispositivi OBD2. GIUDIZIO COMPLESSIVO Nel complesso, il Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 è un piccolo strumento diagnostico con un buon potenziale, soprattutto per gli utenti Android dove la configurazione è risultata più fluida. La possibilità di leggere codici di errore e monitorare i parametri del motore può essere molto utile per la manutenzione preventiva e per capire la natura di eventuali problemi. L'esperienza su iOS è stata leggermente meno immediata, ma una volta connesso, l'adattatore ha funzionato bene. Se siete utenti iOS, armatevi di un po' di pazienza per la fase iniziale di pairing. Per il prezzo a cui è proposto, e considerando le funzionalità offerte, lo ritengo un acquisto valido per chiunque voglia avere un occhio sullo stato di salute della propria auto.

Bardzo dobry skaner OBD. Bez problemu łączy się z szeroką gamą programów diagnostycznych, w tym stricte pod dane marki (m.in. FAP pod grupę PSA).
