Plan to lose some inches, finished dimensions on my 8' x 10' tarp are a shade over 7'4" x 9'5".I would buy this tarp again. It is actually a better size than the floor protector I could have purchased with my tent and at a fraction of the cost. 8 x 10 tarp - pretty simple product, was exactly what I needed. We haven't used it in any wet conditions yet, but I'm sure it will be fine. I wanted this size tarp to make a concert/festival/picnic/backyard blanket - a homemade tarpestry for us to use with friends, & more specifically because we just had our first baby. I sewed a tapestry to warm & natural quilt batting to provide a little bit of extra protection & cushion from the ground, then sewed that to the tarp so the bottom would be waterproof & protected from rocks and things poking through. We gave it a test run a month & a half ago at a music festival while I was still pregnant - it will get lots of use in the upcoming years.

Bought In November 2018, by April 2019 it was completely disintegrating. I bought a 40' x 30' to place over the existing cover of my boat. The idea being an extra layer of rain protection for the winter (in San Diego). I bought that size cover so I could fold the cover in half and have 2 layers of protection ( only needed 20' x 30' to cover the boat). Both layers split completely in half (including the supposed reinforced edges) and then started to flake away in small pieces. Even trying to gather it up to put in the trash became a game of chasing small, flaked off pieces around the storage yard. In comparison, the standard brown tarp I bought at Home Depot previously lasted 5 years.

I did a LOT of price comparisons before buying these and am definitely pleased with the result. We used one of these as a ground cover and one as a rain fly for a recent camping trip and they held up beautifully. It did rain for several hours during our trip and both the floor and roof of our tent remained leak free. The grommets also held up well in the wind without some of the usual tearing I have seen on cheaper tarps.

This was purchased to cover a 10x10 dog kennel for my boxers as the summer is here. I attached with bungee cords and it fit like a beauty! It allows for shade and the 2’ of sun planned for during purchase.The only regret (on my part) is that it IS waterproof so when we get rain it pools in the middle and we have to push it out. But again it is strong quality and perfect fit.

The seller indicates and literally states there or 2 tarps per order,twice, and lists the size of the tarp twice, stating that each tarp is 8x10, but delivered only one tarp. When I contacted the seller, they replied that I ordered only one tarp, even though I explained that their description indicated and even stated that my order would be for 2 tarps. I replied to them that the description clearly states each order would be for 2 tarps. They ignored my complaint. I could have returned the single tarp to Amazon, but I needed tarps for an immediate use and used the one I received and ordered another, of course, from a different seller.

This tarp came with a nice hole in it. I included a picture of the whole. I am asking for a refund so it might go to a 2 star if they make this correct.PROS - 1) it was 20x30 2) it was waterproofCONS - 1) it came with a hole 2) the corners are VERY weak 3) not a medium or heavy duty tarpI bought this for a yearly camping trip and and didn't open it before I left. The hole was on the edge and looked like it had melted in some process. The corners did have plastic around the edges but they were not flush with the sides so they were not nearly as strong as the picture shows. One of the corners ripped under a moderate rain and luckily we were able to remain dry in the section that still worked. Hopefully Amazon will reimburse me and I will adjust the rating to a 2 just for the customer service aspect of it. I would not use this brand for tent shelter and would be leary to use it to cover a hole in a roof on a house. I'm sure it would be acceptable to cover items on the ground but that is it.

The blue color is darker than the standard in-your-face blue of other tarps, which makes this much more pleasing on the eyes. Plus you can always use the silver side. Finish size is 7'6" x 9'4" for the 8'x10' size, which is standard fare for tarps. Definitely strong and waterproof so far.
