After reading the many reviews for this player and several similar products, I decided to go for the Apeman 9.5" and I'm glad that I did. This is a cracking little DVD player for the money and it works very well. It easily plays for 4 hours on a full charge but I normally use it plugged into the mains. I bought it to use in our small touring caravan, which we recently took on a month's holiday to France and Spain. The size of the screen is adequate for this type of environment and the volume is reasonable although we did attach a couple of powered external speakers to it, which worked very well. The only annoying thing I found was that the size of the "viewable" screen area was much reduced when playing a widescreen DVD, which is normal for most players and TV's, but is more of an issue with a small screen. I did look to see if the aspect ratio could be adjusted, as it is on my home TV, however this did not appear to be possible. Aside from this, I have no regrets buying it.

I bought this so that we could watch DVD's when on plane journeys and to entertain my 10 year old on holidays. I read the positive feedback from others and thought for that price it should do. When it arrived I was surprised at the quality of the packaging firstly and then the player itself: The embossing on the case gives it a quality look. When I popped in a DVD I was pleasantly surprised by the picture and sound quality. This is a cracking little product. It is lightweight to carry around and for this price is a real bargain!

This portable DVD player is great and arrived well packaged. It sounds great but after a while I used headphones so to enjoy the film without constant interruptions. It does last just about 3 hours before needing charging.I have no complaints about this yet.... so far so good. I like the look of the player; the swivel screen is a great feature and the remote control works well. Have to say though not sure why a remote is included as it is a portable personal DVD player so doubt I will use it!! Very happy.

Sadly, I had to return this for two reasons: 1- the mechanism was very noisy, and 2 - the volume, even when set at maximum, was far too low.To be fair to the supplier, they did offer to replace it very promptly, and I have since discovered that the low volume problem can probably be solved by changing one of the audio settings (not documented, though). Nevertheless, the mechansim was unacceptably noisy. I imagine this is a one-off fault which shouldn't put you off buying one. I think these machines in this price bracket are pretty much the same under the hood anyway, regardless of the supplier.

Bought to replace defective older/smaller portable player of another make. Impressed with screen size and audio quality in a solidly constructedunit that offers real value for money on evidence experienced so far by this buyer who uses it as much for CDs as for DVDs.

Bought for my husband as a replacement for his old one, I bought this as I was impressed with features and the price. It arrived in great time and in a lovely carry handle box, inside the box was the dvd player and another small box containing the charger and other leads which enable the dvd player to be connected to a television and also a car charger and remote control. The dvd player itself has quite a lightweight feel to it which worried me at first at i was expecting it to feel more sturdy and weightier, however i ploughed on with testing the player out and found it to be a well made and versatile piece of equipment. The screen turns 90 degrees in 1 direction and 180 degrees in the opposite direction which I find is a great touch if you wish to use it on a desk or table for example. Both charging options works very efficiently and the remote control is very responsive.Overall I am extremely happy with this product and would definitely recommend to others.

Does everything we need it for.It is truly a fantastic machine for the price and the kids love having it! Its already saved a lot of stress on our road trips!The only downside... is that the SD card doesn't fully insert, or insert enough (in my opinion) so I would worry about it snapping or being knocked out.Otherwise Excellent and. really pleased :-)
