ROYAL CANINDog Food Starter Mousse 12 x 195 g

This stuff was great for introducing a hand-reared puppy to solid food from milk, she is a Pug and ate this food no problem. I liked that you could warm it up a little if you wanted, which she preferred as it made it even softer to lap up, but she'd only eat a tea-spoon at a time - bless! It got her through the tough weaning though and then I started introducing the Royal Canin puppy dry food which was soaked, mashed up into a porridge. She was on the dry puppy food once her teeth came in around 7 weeks old (always make sure water is available) and she is 1 year old on 4th May 2014! Her name is Zola (after the bare-foot runner) and she is such a happy lively Pug.

I used this for my pregnant dog she ADORED this!! It is so soft I was able to mix around her biscuits for when she was being fussy with food and fooled her to eat and her babies loved it with NO tummy problems they all had solid stools and really helped with weaning them off mum which can be a chore! Also had a sick puppy he was at deaths door it was VERY stressful and upsetting and this was the only food he would eat & the only food that he could keep down and it helped him through a very tough time and I am happy to say he is fully recovered now and when I give this to my litter he is always sniffing around & tries to lick the babies faces it is that good!! :) It gets my full seal of approval I will always use in future, just hope Amazon keep stocking it! (I fully endorse the Royal Canin range I use the mini junior biscuits & Canin meat treats for toilet training with no tummy problems tried & tested on a variety of dog breeds, I suggest this brand to friends and they switch & are just as happy as me, I have switched dogs to this that have come to me eating rubbish supermarket brands & they have since thrived! And you only need small amounts of feed so lasts a good while so pays for its self!)

Nutritionally these are great for weaning puppies, they are a great texture to ensure that toothless puppies are able to wean onto food successfully. They have also helped encourage my older dog to eat who can sometimes go days without eating. Although they're not cheap, they are very useful

My newborn french bulldog puppies took to this well during Initial weaning stage. It was very easy to use. Their mother also loved it with her food and provided her with extra nutrition.

Absolute lifesaver for my little hand raised pup .Romeo was born with a hair lip and facial deformity that prevented him from feeding properly , once he was ready to be waned off the bottle i started him on this . the texture is PERFECT and he was able to lap (as best he could) off a spoon until he was able to eat from a bowl . Honestly dont know what i would have done without this paste , i did try soaking kibble in warm milk but the food became impacted in his mouth causing him to become distressed and paw at his mouth , This however he was able to eat and swallow no problem and he loved the taste too .

With all the nutrients your puppy needs for weening this is really the best food you can buy!It is a soft moose so easy for puppies to learn how to eat and chew on their own. It is also good for starting to mix in your dry kibble to adjust them onto solids.

For the last few weeks of pregnancy I couldn't get my girl to eat anything and I mean anything! None of her old favourites or any other specialised pregnancy/whelping products but she loved this, unfortunately she wouldn't take it from her bowl but ate it from a spoon (she's not normally so spoiled but it was a stressful time) she continued with this (eventually returning to the bowl a few days after the birth) until the pups were fully weened. I would highly recommend this, I can not stress how much! The texture is easy for both mother and pups and more affordable as the multipack.

El veterinario me recomendó esto para mi perro de 4 semanas y media para suplir alguna carencia que tenga el cachorro tan pequeño.PEROOOO...Después de esto ya no quería comer pienso normal, con esta comida noté que subió rápidamente de peso y le brillaba el pelaje PEROOOO le comenzaba a oler más fuerte la piel (no sé si será bueno o malo esto consultad con vuestro veterinario)
